Excited that HDD has given us a timeframe for the tour announcement. I’ll be ready.

 

Kind of annoyed at Red TV being submitted for Grammys. She’s not gonna win, it’s gonna give her a third AOTY nom in a row which is bad optics when the time comes to nominate Midnights, and now everyone is just gonna keep calling her greedy and award obsessed.   Which she is but it’s annoying when anyone other than us says it!

Why do I feel like Midnights is an album for touring moreso than it is for awards bait?

I have quite literally no idea. I have 2 guesses — (1) is a sneak preview of if she will win, like she got for the VMAs. So a “big look” in advance at the winners. Or (2) a grand spectacle, a huge performance to draw a lot of attention to her. But honestly that’s not.. a real phrase that people use.

Do y'all think 800k is doable for her? It's about 500k rn, will probably get 200k from streams, that's 700k. 100k is probably feasible from now until release week. 900k sounds like a stretch tho.

I would love if we could get Reputation TV next year, not long until she can re-record Gorgeous too. I'd love for Camila & Charli to be featured on the vault tracks as they opened for Taylor on the Rep stadium tour.

 

I'd be content with Midnights getting the Folklore/Evermore treatment: 1 single during release week. At a push a second single pushed at the start of 2023 would be nice, just to give the album some life in 2023. But I'm not really too fussed about Midnights being her next "era" album.
