as bad as ME! is, I can't imagine anything else outstreaming it including Cruel Summer. she played the game and it paid off, like that user said there's been plenty of longevity

There certainly wasnt any SIO/BS level smasha on Loser but Cruel Summer would have definitely done better as the lead.. even Loser (title track) would have done better but after ME!th and You Need To Bomb Now the gp/radio didnt care enough to tune in... even her biggest fans (besides some cupcakke swifties that wanna get invited to secret sessions so they dont say anything negative ever) absolutely hate ME!th and agree its her worst song ever 

But yeah as i said before there probably isnt any obvious single worthy song on MIDnights which is why we wont get any single  But as long as the album is good its fine

they're not for example, do you think Break My Soul or Super Freaky Girl going #1 significantly changes Beyonce/Nicki's legacy at all? it adds a page to the book but the story is already written.

i think it probably would have but people really overestimate how much recurrent streams reflect what would've done well as a single.
