The fact that what she's rolling out is actually the tracklist, not the album itself, for a whole damn month at that.

the tracklist is the least insightful information one can get about an album if it doesn't include features, lengths, producers or inspiration about the writing of the song. Taylor was known for holding on to the tracklist till the very last second, this way people wouldn't speculate or create false expectations. The only recent album where she revealed it beforehand was Loser, and that was bc the secret sessions leaks. If people are hyped about a tracklist is bc they get to know the lengths, genres, producers and inspiration about a song, not a mere title. People were hyped about her tracklists earlier bc it included extracts from interviews and insights about some songs + the secret sessions. Right now she's giving us 1% of that which is only the title, and the truth is she's doing it this way to fill in the gaps while people spend hundreds of dollars on those ''limited edition'' vinyls on what otherwise could have been a surprise release.

People saying she's waiting for the Grammy 2023 eligibility to end so she can release a lead single  even if she released something now, she could choose not to submit is this year as a single and submit it next year as a Midnights album track

yeah but regardless, the lead single release date has nothing to do with it. she can release it during same period as atw and still submit it a year later with the album

Still tho, and I’ve said this before, but at least she’s giving us tons of new music all the time. Girl hasn’t taken more than a 3 year break since she started, which is so rare for pop artists. If the MMWM thing annoys you so much, then just don’t watch it and wait for the album. Y’all should really be counting your blessings tho. Imagine if she gave you a 6-7 year wait like some of the other pop girlies
