The more time passes the more i wish this was a surprise release like folkmore... literally the only ******* reason the announced it 2 months in advance is to sell more copies thats it 



My excitement has gone down now that i've come to terms with the fact that we wont get a single before release... ugh she should just do surprise releases forever if the doesnt wanna release singles anymore 
Im sure i will be hyped in the album release week again and hopefully really like the album but yeah... annoying rollout

The whole album COULD HAVE BEEN a surprise release indeed, but she wanted to maximize her profit and sales this time by milking fans for weeks. Her dropping once in a while to announce a new variant or tease something makes me believe she wants it to feel like a surprise release on Oct 21st while still being able to milk her swifties. She's saving the magazine covers/interviews/maybe SNL for release week.

 

Honestly I blame yall for setting yourselves up and expecting a lead single, a big rollout, promo, etc. I kinda knew from the start that she will drop everything at once because the last 2 years made it clear that she's over singles for good. She's simply not that girl anymore. That's why I'm really not that angry at her. You do you Ms Swift, the only thing you're getting from me is premium streams.

Like? She's only doing all this because she knows the fans would eat it up and everyone did. If the last four releases are any indication, we should stop expecting any real singles other than album release week

Yeah  i mean 99% of the time an artist announces an album months in advance they will release atleast 1 single before release.. so its not unreasonable for us to expect a single
but yeah if i were her i would milk swifties aswell tbh  She will get my spotify premium streams aswell and I will eventually get one copy but i will wait until release week because im sure more physical variants are coming
