Her acceptance speech was great. Loved the way she categorized her songwriting and talked about genre blending. I feel like she had Midnights in mind, too, when she was talking about it.

I’m so sorry but HOW many times do y’all have to be told that the Grammys deadline has NO bearing on the single release date

 

You can submit a song in whatever year the album was released. The album will be released in the 2024 Grammy year, so the lead single can and likely will be submitted then. Cardi was going to do it with WAP and CB2. The Grammys deadline has NO BEARING on a single because the deadline is irrelevant to it.

At this point we aren’t getting a single tho btw. One week before the album sort of like a certain ? client did in 2020 with their last album is the best she might do.

Seems like this entire rollout is being planned around how to get the biggest possible debut - by not releasing a lead, snippets and promo singles, she’s alienating no one until the actual album is out, meaning that everyone and their mothers will be curious and give it their streams. 
 

The aesthetics, album description and title are classic Taylor yet fresh, specific yet vague enough to appeal to almost everyone - the new alternative fans, children, critics, long-term stans etc.

 

It’s smart she’s saving the BIG promo until the album is out, like Red TV. Why promote something to the GP if they can’t even consume it yet?
