It's pretty much confirmed then

I just think the same. It was supposed to be Friday! And he moved it today one day forward.

All this fuzz about what's likely going to end up being a TikTok exclusive vinyl variant...

songs are all between 3:30 - 3:40. So it's cool, I guess. Some might be 3 minutes, but some might be 4:30.

That's why I'm sensing at least one interlude of some kind. But the one vinyl thing depends also on the quality of the pressing so it isn't strictly 46 min

Wait, wasn't it announced that the album runs for 43 minutes or was I hallucinating? I remember seeing it somewhere. :deadbanana2:

Using SP to drag Jack is stale af when SP has excellent production itself and that was the least of the album's issues

I’m pretty sure that was running around on Twitter because it’s only 1 LP. I don’t think that’s a straight confirmation though, isn’t Born to Die 1 LP as well? And that runs for 49 minutes and a half

When track 5 ends up sounding like this.

oh no, i really dislike this song for some reason.

And this is why a lead single might actually be bad for the album, there’s always gonna be some people who dislike even a great song:chick3:

If the lead is bad, 1M+ can be kissed goodbye. There's not even enough time to put out a second single to turn the GP's opinion in case the first one is Me!/YNTCD levels of bad.

This better be a GREAT lead single. Her first week sales literally depend on it. If she ever releases a mid song and it kills all the hype she's built so far... +1M first week cancelled

The thing with her is that it's either going to be a ME! type of song or a totally noncommercial song. There's no in between when it comes to her lead singles recently.

Or LWYMMD/RFI bad. Girl, Taylor really is bad when it comes to singles, uh

Why are we cursed with such a talented artist who can’t pick the right lead single to save her life. I’m sorry the last time she picked the UNDENIABLY CORRECT choice was Love Story in 2008 :rip:

Rep and Lover singles are awful because she was writing pop music underestimating her audience. She thought she was dealing with the same 14 yo public of 1989. She has the capacity of much more (Nothing New is written since 2012, now come on now)  I do believe since folklore and turning 30+ she won't be doing this anymore. That's enough of cookie cutter songs with nothing of interesting to offer. It has blown back on her face while the alt projects were very well received and popular in their own rights. There isn't a single reason she should return to LWYMMD/ME/YNTCD/The man mindset. She should work towards legacy!

Track 12 might be the single mmmm. Around the same track number of ME! and YNTCD

Then tour dates and the obviously ready documentary she has made during the Midnights Sessions

after all she's achieved artistically and commercially throughout her career do we really still care about these things at this point

the lead should be a good introduction to the album, the focus for me is on how this new chapter/album plays out. she's in a part of her career where she has the opportunity to fully commit to whatever she wants artistically and that's the most exciting aspect to me - knowing that she can push herself to try something new out or to dive deeper in her songwriting

all this other stuff (and people saying the risk of a lead single is a bad idea :rip:) is meaningless, you don't make it 10 albums/15+ years endlessly seeking outside validation
