State of Grace. Posted September 16, 2022 Posted September 16, 2022 Lmao when we thought "Time" was a song on TS6 That was truly the worst time ever. That's I always roll my eyes when I see ******* complaining about this "drought" as if she didnt drop two albums and two re-recordings 2 years into this decade
Dear Reader Posted September 16, 2022 Posted September 16, 2022 24 minutes ago, State of Grace. said: I agree. But I think "meet me at midnight" is a lyric and an album highlight, most likely referring to her and Joe's first days together lol. Also, saw a tweet saying how her being very lowkey about Midnights so far is because she wants it to feel like a surprise drop for locals while still being able to milk her fans for 2 months with these different versions. That would explain the lack of a single, interviews, magazines, TV or public appearances. That would work for me because I didn't really want a lead single +4 weeks before the album. a ‘meet me behind the mall’ teas, we’re in for august QUALITY!
TaylorNation Posted September 16, 2022 Posted September 16, 2022 (edited) i’m just in shock of how she makes us open our purses with every album release. and this time without knowing any damn thing about the album this clock stunt really cemented her genius for me tbh she’s so smart and knows exactly how to rob us blind, i love her so much Edited September 16, 2022 by TaylorNation
tonyle1911 Posted September 16, 2022 Posted September 16, 2022 Let’s wait next 2 weeks when she announces one more vinyl clock version, that the face of the clock is on the back side of ONE vinyl only + the tool, which she made specially for fans who still share room with their siblings and have no space for the 4pieces clock ??.
emailmyhearts Posted September 16, 2022 Posted September 16, 2022 I fear this isn’t the end.. she has one more trick up her sleeve, like make a clock with these 4 cassette variants. Her capitalistic mind knows no limit! We better get our wallets ready.

TheArgonaut Posted September 16, 2022 Posted September 16, 2022 Next signed vinyls and CDs of all the 4 versions. Uh huh, she’s taking it

Inb4 there are 13 different clocks, therefore 52 vinyl versions

BlackStar_93 Posted September 16, 2022 Posted September 16, 2022 The clock is really cool, but I've only brought one vinyl (moonstone) as I'm trying to save my pennies. I will deffo get a signed CD if she does them, though.

We still have yet to see the back of the Target edition. I’m assuming it’s the full clock.

As if I haven't been buying every version of her albums since like 2010 when I started to learn more about pop culture. Plus Taylor is the only artist who could make me do this anyway.
Sharapov Posted September 16, 2022 Posted September 16, 2022 if she makes something as DARK as this i'll be ecstatic

Buffy Posted September 16, 2022 Posted September 16, 2022 "Brass tin clock center piece with mechanical movement" Does this mean the clock hands actually move like a real clock??? That’s pretty cool if so… but $50??? Not 4 wooden pieces and a center piece costing more than the vinyl.
19SLAYty9 Posted September 16, 2022 Posted September 16, 2022 2 minutes ago, Sharapov said: if she makes something as DARK as this i'll be ecstatic I think at this point soft rock might be guaranteed. The aesthetic + the outfits that seems to be heavily 70s inspired+ the rumor a month before that the album was inspired by Stevie nicks+ the CDs looking like a vinyl + the piano in the photo shoot being from the 70s + the record player playing the vinyls in her story being from the 70s Quote Soft rock is a subgenre of rock music that emphasizes pop hooks, pristine studio production, and pleasing sonic aesthetics. It is typically performed by bands that feature guitar (either acoustic guitar or electric guitar), keyboards, bass guitar, and a drum kit (or drum machine). Both male vocalists and female vocalists front soft rock bands. Unlike more abrasive forms of rock music such as punk and heavy metal, soft rock music has frequent crossover appeal with fans of folk and R&B. The biggest stars of soft rock—including Fleetwood Mac, Rod Stewart, Elton John, and James Taylor—have scored major hits on the Billboard Top 40, particularly during the genre's commercial peak in the 1970s and 1980s. Basically anything by Fleetwood Mac from the 70s and 80s is soft rock, Elton John’s early stuff, James Blake (who we know she’s a massive stan of), Carole king (her presenting her the award and performing an interpretation of her song could’ve been a hint). That means we will probably get some bops too as soft rock commonly crosses over with pop and folk and disco.

19SLAYty9 Posted September 16, 2022 Posted September 16, 2022 When Taylor drops 100k signed vinyls and CDs of each… 800k sales secured from just those
