I would’ve agreed last year if a new album was coming then but now, after Red TV and given everything else, I just feel it in my bones. The vinyl sales alone are going to be actually unprecedented  

 

700k pure sales amongst vinyls, CDs, digitals and cassettes feels like child’s play. Especially if she has signed CDs and some more tactics to spring on us, like box sets and more variants. She’ll definitely have more tactics in the weeks leading up to the album release and actual release week (probably pop up shops like Harry did) so that’s why I feel very secure in predicting 1M tbh

Yeah I agree that Swifties should go around saying she’ll do 600-700K btw cuz that’s obviously lowballing it and whenever we lowball her she always blows our predictions away 

 

So 600K it is!

But the 1M is extremely likely actually. I don’t think most Swifties are ready for the vinyl numbers or have a clue how big they’ll be, for example. So someone has to say it quietly

We don't know how much vinyl folklore actually moved in the first week because all of them were counted as digital for the bundles. Wouldn't be surprised if she moved 300k+ at that point already.

The album is not gonna reach 1M. Lover was released in a much better sales climate and didn't do it. It also had vinyls, bundles and all that.

No one's mentioned this yet, but if the Target vinyl is a single LP and includes the 3 bonus tracks, doesn't that mean it will be 46 minutes long, at most?  So the standard album might be less than 40 minutes long. Unless they mastered it differently and managed to fit over 23 minutes per side, which can be done but isn't common...

 

Then again, the mastering on Red TV is odd. It plays at 45rpm instead of the usual 33.3.
