album Taylor Swift - ‘Midnights’

I hope we get a confirmation on wether we’re getting target exclusive tracks or not, but I think not

I think this record will be similar in pacing to Folklore/Evermore (as in slower/mid-tempo songs) but will be different production-wise. I could be really off the mark here but I have a feeling it'll be more indie-pop with electric guitars, keyboards, and synths. The best comparison I could use is ATW 10-minute version - that's how I kinda imagine it sounding. I just don't anticipate an album where the concept is about sleepless nights containing any pop bangers. That's not to say there won't be any upbeat songs, but I think they'll be more in the vein of Gold Rush, Closure, August, etc. 

 

This is just my theory, but I know what ever she releases will absolutely destroy me.

I wonder if her face will be plastered on Amazon boxes again for Midnights.

 

I hope not! Didn’t even help Lover cross 900K nor stay on #1 after debut week. 
 

I wish the promo will mostly be positive word of mouth ala reputation. The reaction videos speak for themselves. Even the haters said yes.

 

Midnights need to beat Red TV first week, without the boxes.

I hope it's a proper Target exclusive, like the Lover diaries or the reputation magazines, but it'll most likely just be another vinyl variant with that ugly Target red color for the disc

I think this too, I said something similar not long after it was announced. I see this as like moody, alternative pop, if that makes sense. gold rush, closure, long story short, mirrorball, Renegade are the songs that come to mind just seeing the art and aesthetics so far, but with a bit more of the production you described.

I hope she ghosts it tbh, I really don’t want her doing any promo for that. She can keep campaigning for ATW10 instead, just no Amsterdam promo.
