It's been certified 18 here in the UK for strong bloody violence and gore, The Philippines have certified it as an R-18 but it seems to have been cut by 2 minutes, the Filipino poster is cool though.

The poster is giving “graphic design is my passion” :deadbanana4:

It’s giving “if it’s Christmas, it must be Saw”

Nope, it's the official poster for The Philippines as it's on their official movie certification and ratings system website (MTRCB) :rip:

my guess is they didn't get the Final Cut for the dubbing until it was already announced to be pushed forward or something like that. there is also ZERO competition on that day so far so that makes sense (and the movies always came out in the winter instead of autumn here, most times it was even January or February)

im extremely biased and will always tell everyone to watch the entire series because its gets so beautifully overwrought and ridiculous, buT story wise, this is set between the first two, so you would be good to go with what you've seen.

This movie is set between 1 and 2 so not really. But you might miss some things.

I wanna click the spoiler but also not, some Saw YouTubers have spoiled the movie enough for me already.

It doesn't come out till 3 weeks after the US premiere here, Idk how I'm going to avoid spoilers lol.

That's crazy, I'm assuming it's a German dub rather than German sub, which is why it's taking so long for Studiocanal to release it? :dancehall:

yes, movies don't get released in theaters here unless they have a dub. but it will make more people go see it so im okay with it.

with how VOD has been working these days I wouldn't be surprised if it drops online before that release.

That's not on, why can they not just release it with German subs instead of going through all the trouble of dubbing it into German? That's just f*cking yous all over :biblionny:

girl dkjsfg no movie would ever make money in that case lmfao, dub culture is HUGE here. literally every movie or TV show is dubbed, and if its not, it won't run in cinemas or TV. there have been instances of streaming shows dropping without dub first and just subs, but they get added later or its very rarely. people here HATE reading subs and even today English isn't as well understood as in some other European countries.

We could potentially see two characters that would be slight spoilers for other movies. (In all likelihood, we’re probably only going to see one of those characters because the other actor is like… anti-Saw now, but never say never.)

I can understand why people prefer dubs over subs, and I can understand the language barriers too, but it just sucks that it's a 2 month wait for the movie in Germany, that's crazy :biblio:

its not always this bad I should say. these days, especially big movies, have same week releases as US dates. sometimes its a week or two difference. but I think because Studiocanal is a smaller distribution studio they are taking longer.

Also, the German dub artists for Tobin Bell retired last year but he is coming back for this movie so maybe thats a reason as well.
