Still excited, even after the awful Chris Rock movie.

 

People always bash everything after SAW 3, but most of them weren't that bad. SAW VI was actually one of the better sequels and Jigsaw was kinda decent, too.

I guess I'm the only one who enjoys Spiral: From the Book of Saw quite a bit. I'm hoping this is a direct sequel with Chris Rock and Max Minghella reprising their roles.

They already tried to reboot the Saw series twice  The last one was like a bad self-insert fanfic Chris Rock himself wrote.

 

Maybe if it went back to its psychological horror roots it could work.

Seems to be directed by Saw VI and 3D director. Which could be a problem since I don't think either of those instalments were anything special but looking forward to it regardless.

It won’t be and it won’t be a reboot. The producers specifically stated that “they listened to the fans”, and the majority don’t want another reboot or sequel to Spiral.

 

it’s been rumored for a while now that this will be a film set between earlier entries in the franchise, most likely between the first and second one and feature Tobin Bell heavily.

The title kind of doesn’t make sense. The Spiral killer didn’t even use the Billy/Jigsaw puppet. John Kramer wasn’t even mentioned in Spiral. 
 

That being said, this news makes me nervous. Saw VI is actually my favorite Saw movie, but Saw 7 was just garbage— it’s actually my least favorite Saw movie.
