Oh wow wow wow wow :clap3:

Is this the same thing Bernie was trying to bring down? Shame on him!

If Bernie wanted to tank it, why didn’t he just vote against it like other Democrats threatened to do? :ducky:

But it wouldn’t have created utopia overnight so I have no choice but to side with republicans :fish2:

Oh. But it says it passed. Which Democrat voted with Republicans in the 50/50 Senate and defeated this bill? I need names! :ducky:

This is why people never take seriously the liberal drivel about politicians who pass a lot of bills. Largely passing corporate giveaways or bills used to jail more Black men. “But the name of the bill is Inflation reduction act!! And it passed!!”

Congratulations America! A big win after many years of obstructionism.

this is also so funny, because the old white Democrats are the ones upholding the filibuster that enables that “obstructionism”. The fetishism of always wanting some sort of bipartisanship on every bill is also very much a part of that “obstructionism”. It always gives Republicans ample time to out strategize Democrats.

Not the RIGHT-WINGER Democrats giving Bernie more crap for voting yes on the bill but asking for improvements that they ever did to Manchin/Sinema for stalling and blocking everything until this watered down bill. :ace:

Meanwhile Bernie flopped and failed and embarrassed himself , BIDEN won.

You can tell that people who say this are weirdly upper-class Dems who treat politics like sports betting cause..

Bernie was trying to save the elements of Biden's agenda by pushing for the amendments. :deadbanana4:

If Bernie lost, it means Biden lost. And if Bernie lost and Biden won, that would mean Biden didn't actually support the things he said he believed should be in the BBB originally. :deadbanana4:

Like by all means smile through the pain because Democrats feel they're in a PR crisis and needed some kind of 'win' before Congress takes another month-long vacation, but the sheer depravity of treating politics like sports revealed in being glad progressive Democrats lost trying to... stop conservative Dems' dismantling Biden's plan because you think they're bad for being... to the left of someone as center-right as Biden???? :toofunny3:

So did Joe Biden lie to everyone when he said we needed to give seniors dignity via dental care?

A good, small progress made. Still have a long way to go. But sometime, the most important step is the first step. That is always the hardest step. So hopefully, there will be more climate bills in the future.

Exactly 100% this. But some here can not see this.

There won't be anymore climate bills for the next 20 years, and all this bill does is ensure that for every amount of public land used for renewable energy, there will be more drilling permits to counteract any good provided by a solar panel or windmill. That's actually a massive step BACKWARDS. But you won't see any partisan Democrats framing this bill honestly. They're just taking the optics W without any consideration for what the bill actually means for the future.

So glad we're gonna have MORE DRILLING to make up for any of the renewable energy sources. Manchin did SO MUCH GOOD FOR EXXON, SHELL, AND BP OUR FUTURE, RIGHT?! :clap3: :clap3: :clap3: :clap3: :clap3: :clap3: :clap3: :clap3: :clap3: :clap3: :clap3: :clap3:

A 40% cut in carbon emissions by 2030 is huge. And it's nice to know that the bill is being praised by progressives outside of this website.

Idealists who cannot get any legislation passed won't be able to relate :clap3:

Dark Brandon continues to come through while the fringe on both sides scream and whine from the sidelines. :clap3:

He voted for the bill when he just as easily could have blocked the whole damn thing on his own. :rip:

It’s beyond strange that y’all are foaming at the mouth because Bernie wanted to marginally improve the bill.

Finally real non imaginary solutions that actually have a chance to pass :clap3:

If you don't think helping everyone is ideal you are a republican.

If you support a single bill that gives power and preference to any corporation or wealthy person over anyone else you are a republican.

"Fringe"

The policies *that Biden supported* that Manchin gutted from the BBB are the most popular in America. :skull:

Democrats just literally gutted the #3 and #1 policies from the last year in terms of polling favorability from their big pre-midterms legislation. :skull:

And then y'all get mad when most voters are like "....meh, I'll stay home". It's incompetence. :deadbanana4:

It's actually a 15% cut in emissions. The wording is meant to be purposefully obscure.

I’m sorry but your response to any political discussion are so vapid, and reek of white champagne liberal. The same people that blame atrocities in red states on the majority of people who do not engage in politics, and are unable to have the funds or job that would allow them to leave. Stupid, and trite is what I have come to expect from you. The only job anyone can have where they are allowed to fail upward is being an incompetent, and corrupt elected Democrat. You will even have empty headed liberals defend losing elections on anyone else. You know the only thing that would make you a politician, winning. Absolutely embarrassing behavior

It is indeed true that you need to win an election to become a noted politician! Did you know that 100% of all current AND past members of Congress have won elections? Mindblowing.

The point seems to be over your head. :toofunny3: Quick example off the top of my head: the losers who keep drudging up the corpse of Hillary Clinton who lost by her own accord. The 1000's of seats lost under the center right administration of Obama. McCaskill being on corporate national news as a pundit when she lost to a Republican in 2018. I won't stop atrl user hurricane326 from defending bad positioning, or even incompetent campaigns. It only makes you look out of touch, and frankly bad on many levels. The majority of people do not care about the amount legislation that a corrupt politician passes. That some champagne liberal nerd ****.

An even more mindblowing fact is that for every election, there is at least one loser! Did you know that in an election, someone will inevitably lose?

Keep going! Getting super close, omg :duca:

Then.. the loser should reflect on the failures that caused them to lose! I want to list some so badly, but I can see we have to take it one step at a time
