Margot got $12.5M for her role as Barbie for reference. She will have less screentime for sure but with the way they have been hyping it and presenting Lee/Gaga, it looks like she's co-lead to me. My guess is that they're just trying not to reveal much of the plot and musical elements in the trailer. It still feels like a bridge between the first film and the next one without spoiling anything. They also probably want to keep the incels on board and that's why they're not giving away any snippet of the music. A surprise ***** in October. If you want a star you pay. JP got 20 M$ so 12 M$ is far from being equal role, equal pay. It can still be the lead female role, but I can see why Variety says they heard she would go for supporting at the oscar.

Cause they need JP for the sequel and he rarely does a sequel hence why the large amount and for them to pay Gaga's third movie that much is just absurd for supporting Edited July 23 by Mix

If Lily Gladstone was lead this year, then I'd be extremely surprised if Warner pushes Gaga for Supporting. 4

Message In A Bottle Posted July 23 Posted July 23 My god, it's just as terrible as I expected, and the acting looks awful. I think many people will see this as a mess. Kristen Stewart would have been a better choice for the role of Harley in this sequel. 1 2 1 26

The second trailer doesn't reveal too much and it'll be better this way for the film to show it's true excellence in full.

Infernal Paradise Posted July 25 Posted July 25 (edited) Quote The new issue of Empire takes a world-exclusive deep-dive into the Joker movie that few saw coming – going behind bars with Joaquin Phoenix, Lady Gaga, and Todd Phillips to get immersed in Joker: Folie À Deux's perfect delusion. Inside, we learn about the film's unexpected musical inspirations, its all-new conception of Harley Quinn, its fresh perspective on Joker himself, and why it had to break all the rules to become a story worth telling. Plus, it's packed with brand new images, giving you ultimate access to a comic-book sequel like you've never seen before. Edited July 25 by Infernal Paradise 1
