It’s so obvious Kelis has a personal feud with having “her” song sampled on a Beyoncé track. She could’ve just taken the money and stfu but decided to be extra.

so far two songs have been edited?  :rip:

It's one of my fave songs from the album and probably my most listened but I honestly can't tell the difference, pff. But good for Kelis ig.

She did. The writers and producers were credited and despite not owning any of the song, Beyoncé also gave Kelis credit so she'd get royalties. :rip:

omg i thought she was complaining because she wasn't credited :soda: now i understand why the hive dragged her

i like her music but that's so dumb of her and it just makes her look like a crazy jealous person

That's exactly what happened, now she's getting nothing :rip:

I'm glad this drama has finally been put to an end though.

congrats on ruining an already terrible song :clap3:

we will be using the Kelis version!

If you think it’s already terrible then why would you “be using” it in the first place :ace:

:lmao: can the people pretending to care about a non standard phone call over a .003 sec (ultimately unnecessary) interpolation shut up now?

Posted

I hope Bey personally contacted her to let her know she'll take it off

I’m living for her response to all this being removing the sample that you could barely even notice anyway. Now Kelis can’t attach ha name to AOTY & she can keep queen’s name out ha mouth.

Should've just given credit where it's due :rip:

She did appear on the credits, she just got mad because Beyonce didn't reach out to her personally, as if it was necessary for her to do so or something. Now KELIS has NO CREDITS and NO ROYALTIES :ahh:

Hopefully Kelis still sues.

She didn't write the song, she didn't produce it and she doesn't own the masters to that song. So why would she sue :rip:?

ya'll...the song sounds exactly the same to me, though. I think the only thing Bey removed was Kelis' name from the credits (which was a favor to her in the first place) :rip:

I love pretty Bey. :toofunny3: She'd rather remove the interpolation altogether than talk to that woman on the phone. Now the album and song get even more promotion. :clap3:

The most ridiculous thing of all this is that the song sound exactly THE SAME with AND without the sample :ahh:

I’d be mad too if the biggest star in the world sampled my song and I didn’t know but that’s not Beyonce’s fault.  Just seems like Kelis’s team/former songwriters dropped the ball and didn’t communicate well enough with Kelis.

Kelis just didn't want Beyonce using the song at all, I'm sure so she's fine.

Pharrell kind of lost though :dies:

Kelis wasn't making ANYTHING off the song, but newsflash to Beyonce she still has to pay up because it remains on the CD's that are in stores and have already been sold. Hopefully Kelis still sues.

She cant sue, are you just NOT paying attention or? :deadbanana2:

She did NOT write, or PRODUCE the song.

this is what she wanted, no? so good for her and beyonce for solving the issue

And this is why owning music is still important. You don't control anything because nothing is yours. You're just using a service.

They can edit all they want now. I already have the album :rip:

It was so obvious her tantrum was an occasion she had been waiting on for years.

How do you insults someone saying they're without a soul, they are passive-aggressively attacking and that they're Satanists for not giving you a call for a sample when they cleared said sample legally.

And the nerve to talk about how B could have contacted her through mutuals but why didn't she contact Bey through those "mutuals" and try to get her side of the story?

This! Kelis always been jealous on Bey. That’s why her “career” is where it is

Are albums like videogames now that they are receiving day one patches :psyduck:
