i didnt know kelis was sampled as a writer for two days though, can anyone show me where was this available? 

She was given credit in the album liners as a performer. But since she wasn't a writer on Milkshake, it was legally impossible to credit her as a writer for the sample.

Bey worked with Skrillex, Al Cres, and BEAM to produce a song which sampled the other people listed as “writers”, including Pharrell. It was always a stretch to expect a call over a 10 sec DRUM reference. Kelis was credited to the degree that her “contribution” warranted.

Anyway the dumbest part of this whole ordeal is that you know good and damn well Kelis didn’t want a call from Beyoncé. She doesn’t like Bey and Jay. She just didn’t want to be sampled by Bey at all - which I personally can empathize with. 
 

I’d get her point more if she’d just say “it’s petty for someone who you have tension with to sample one of your songs” but instead she went the “ethical feminist” route, because she knows folks would say she was making a mountain out of a molehill otherwise. 
 

Bey doesn’t acknowledge her beefs, so folks look weird when they publicly fume about her.
