Yeah, I  don't think it was changed on Spotify.

Anyway I hope it's true. Some people, particularly black women, always go after Bey because they know she never ever replies but I am happy at least this time maybe she reacted.

Or maybe she saw how this all unfolded and Kelis was not asked by Pharrell and decided to remove it since Kelis wasn't happy with it :michael:

I'm sorry but I feel like Pharrell just snuck this sample on to the record :bibliahh:

Anyway to hear the removed version?

That credit is meaningless, the royalties still go to Pharrell and Chad only because they're still the only credited songwriters of the song and royalties from samples go to the songwriters.

And again, Kelis never wanted Beyonce to cut her a check, it was never about money. It was about respect.

LMAO

the delusion. The only thing Kelis proved with her tantrum is that she of all peeps doesn't deserve respect.

It was the perfect decision that her credits have been removed. Good riddance.

The mental picture of Pharrell trying to sneak 3 seconds of Milkshake onto Bey’s album is sending me for some reason :rip:

Yes, if anybody knows a thing, it's that Little Monsters have a musical taste as avant garde as musically possible.

Yes art, yes talent.

Fading sampled boeadacea (that’s spelled wrong tbh) by Irish queen Enya and she sued cause they didn’t have permission. They changed the sample in the song to something similar but original.

the version with Enya is on Spotify as apart of the Japan edition of Loud while the regular (promoted) version has the new version :rip:

im guessing they cleared the sample at a later point

Bey worked with Skrillex, Al Cres, and BEAM to produce a song which sampled the other people listed as “writers”, including Pharrell. It was always a stretch to expect a call over a 10 sec DRUM reference. Kelis was credited to the degree that her “contribution” warranted.

people acting like the sample made a real difference in the song :skull:

i didnt know kelis was sampled as a writer for two days though, can anyone show me where was this available?

Posted

As she should. Beyoncé kindly enough to give her credit even tho she didn’t write anything.

Kelis had those feelings about Beyoncé for a while. Beyoncé always get the girls upset :lmao:

Now Kelis will fade back into No One Cares land

1. It was the worst song on the album

2. It sounds almost exactly the same

3. This controversy only helped to drive interest in the record.

The energy outro did help me appreciate BMS more though, the future #1 hit. :gaycat2:

I’ve been saying it’s the worst :bibliahh:
Move & Heated did the afrobeats better lol
