Gays stan superheros and scifi/horror...but stay being stereotypical

 

 

OT: Country and rap( as much as I love rap and ATRLs hate boner for it, it's still a very homophobic genre and straights go too hard for terrible rappera)

 

Historical dramas ( Bridgeton and Downton Abbey come to mind. I've seen more straight talk about these shows than gays)

Don't get me wrong I like the show but it became bad after like season four but they all pretend that season eight was the only bad season. There are also tonns of better fantasy book series that will never see an adaptation or at least not one as high budget as that was and it's a shame.

It depends on the show. I used to have a Supernatural stan account when I was 16 and I was definitely outnumbered by the gays. Most of the fans I had interactions with were lesbians.

 

Also, there’s another show called Wynonna Earp that has a predominately lesbian fanbase. But the show is incredibly pro-LGBT+ so that helps! 
 

Shows like Buffy and Charmed also have huge gay fan bases too.

I know the point you were trying to make though. As shows like GOT and Stranger Things are so big, it feels like everybody on earth is watching them. I just wouldn’t say that genre as a whole is overrated within the straight community.
