No, not really. For stars like Beyonce, the debut is what's most important. Media publications report on big debuts, they don't report on "Beyonce's Single Is Still Top Ten After Three Weeks". :rip: Beyonce not having a fanbase big enough to secure an easy top five is... yikes.

Who cares about media publications when she has a multi-week solo top 10 hit :bam:

a #7 peaking for a 6 year comeback from Beyonce looks bad.

Given how colossal the Lemonade era was in 2016, the only thing I'm surprised about is how her comeback single isn't at least top 3 on the Hot 100.

And why would you think that? Lemonade's highest peaking song was at #10. She already surpassed that number :dies:

Extremely surprised when few months ago there is "no" hype for B7 according to ATRL.

Is YouTube streams counted for Hot 100 or not? Why did someone said it will not make an impact?

It counts but it's not as substantial as it once was. It's kind of delusional to claim that a video gives no effect to a song's success when it can create buzz around a song (which is more valuable than anything else at this point) and give it an extra boost

If the video is on Formation/This Is America/Look What You Made me do level it might give huge boost. I mean she done it with Single Ladies and Formation.

I agree. Bey has had multiple video moments and she could get one again, only she needs to drop the video already

A multi-week solo top 10 looks bad? Strange, some popgirls haven't had that since 2013. That looks bad. But don't worry, #7 won't be this song's peak. :)

It's the way that this thread isn't as long as it would be if the song never went top 10.

You can bet that they very well are surprised but they're waiting to see what the album does and hope it doesn't push the song top 5 or number 1.

Not the usual deranged stanbase on the verge of another mental meltdown :ahh:

OT: Extremely stable which is a very good sign, which is difficult to get. Not everybody has that to their credit.

It’a doing well so far, but it’s still in the early stages. I’ll be surprised if it has true longevity

it's pretty great that with just 3 days and no video she already outpeaked RTW.

No video, barely any acknowledgement, a sound that's not really a favorite of her core fanbase, etc. Even if it freefalls after this week, the performance so far has been insane actually. Two solo eras later and a few side projects and she's outperforming the singles from 4 :chick3: she really got the last laugh

Meh, it's not looking like it will become a hit.

think she left it too long, she should of dropped the video at least the week it got released, don't think it's going to do too well, the album however I can see hit #1 on release day.

This thread is exactly why I stopped claiming the title “Little Monster” :deadbanana4:

OT: No I’m not surprised at all.

aren't y'all tired of using this excuse?

But it did leak in full HQ an entire month before its release. So many lost listens, streams, and hype that was wasted.

Another L for the L Monsters :ahh:

What has this got to do with us? Her song spending two weeks in the top 10? Okay? Shallow and Rain On Me were also multi-week top 10 hits that peaked higher.

It's predicted to spend a third week in the top 10. :rip: That's a hit whether you want to call it one or not. :toofunny3:
