Given how colossal the Lemonade era was in 2016, the only thing I'm surprised about is how her comeback single isn't at least top 3 on the Hot 100.

Don't worry, it will be. :heart2:

Stop with the MV excuse, no one cares about Youtube anymore :rip:

Doesn't a music video still serve as a valid form of promotion for the song, one that is capable of if not changing the way someone feels about a song, then at least advertising it and offering another means of consumption or renewed discussion, sharability, or content for those that enjoy it? Even if it contributes little by way of chart points, is a song without a video really at the same advantage as one that has a video?

I don't want to outright assume but had she not released on a Tuesday (3 days of tracking) and put out a music video like most artists do upon release, I have a feeling it might've snuck into the Top 3 considering with less than half a week and no official radio release, it still debuted in the Top 15.

im surprised it isnt top 5

I don't understand why you keep entertaining monsters.

OT : Cute but she's not even doing the barest of minimum and she might drop out of the top 10 next week.

But Lemonade didn’t have a Top 3 hit so why are you so bad at lying?

If that mattered so much it wouldn’t have gone Top 5 during its release week. So obviously the song still had hype. Beyond that, the issue isn’t its peak, but that it had 0 longevity.

I wasn't impressed with the song at first, but I do find it to be a bop now, she did thaT

No you're not. It's hard for popgirls to get a multi-week solo top 10. Some haven't had one in nearly a decade.

I think it needs 9 million more on radio to make up for the streaming point loss I predict. 11.5 million to 10 million. We got 4.4 million radio so far this track period, with 4 days left.

I'm assuming digital sales will stay nearly the same

If we lose like 2 points overall, we should still stay top 10

A hit :clap3: Hopefully it can reach a new peak

I'm gobsmacked. ATRL told me it wouldn't even go top 20. Bey always wins and ATRL always loses, why?

So you're saying that the GP knew of and sought out a leaked Lady Gaga song, listened to it, and disliked what they heard so intensely that they refused to go back and listen to it again once it was officially released on a myriad of platforms and thus far more accessible than before? The lack of residual interest from the GP led to its precipitous decline on the charts? Noted!

Extremely stable which is a very good sign

Imagine "leaked song" as an excuse in 2022

No, not really. For stars like Beyonce, the debut is what's most important. Media publications report on big debuts, they don't report on "Beyonce's Single Is Still Top Ten After Three Weeks". :rip: Beyonce not having a fanbase big enough to secure an easy top five is... yikes.

ln0599e.gif

this is… not how it works :rip: everyone knows true success on the Billboard charts is a longevity game. just look at how they calculate their year-end charts, the point system is based on cumulative weeks charting, not just on debut peaks.

i’m a Gaga stan too but we’re just talking statistics. 2 weeks in the lower-end of the top 10 is objectively better than 1 week in the top 5 and then out of the top 20, it just is what it is.

Hell even in 2020 when the song was released :rip:

The clocks in this thread tho :deadbanana2:

OT: glad its stable even tho Bey has done everything in her power to sabotage this song.

I thought any new single she released would serve RTW's peak or worse but I'm pleasantly surprised. Now release the video, b*tch
