The way both Cruel Summer and Paper Rings were both BEGGING to be singles, and yet she released ME! as the lead.

The song is so smooth that chorus flow so well. Taylor was usually praised for her lyric but her melody also impeccable and this song is a good example of that.

I know exactly why hetlors Swifties listened less to this song compared to other songs on the album.  And i also know the ones that do streamed it shouted the f-w0rd a couple times while doing so.
