VOSS Posted July 4, 2022 Posted July 4, 2022 On 7/2/2022 at 10:51 AM, magazine said: It could very much be that. But maybe the people in charge also changed? (I wouldn't know) The former owner Les Wexner was one of Jeffrey Epstein's first and biggest clients. Epstein & Ghislaine Maxwell would use the Victoria's Secret connection to groom young girls and make them think they would turn them into supermodels Eventually people started to turn on the brand due to the unhealthy body image it promoted and because Wexner was a pariah at that point. VS was sold/spun off a couple years ago with new management and they have hired a new slew of celebs/models to rehab the brand. It seems to be working but I would always side-eye anyone who promoted them.
cypriotpcdfan Posted July 5, 2022 Posted July 5, 2022 Are we suppose to celebrate that their sex trafficking will now be more diverse and inclusive? Well alright now...
bleuwaffle Posted July 5, 2022 Posted July 5, 2022 (edited) they do know it's only a matter of time before the public gets tired of these corporations shamelessly cashing in on "inclusivity", right? ads like these are embarrassing and self-congratulatory. i know VS had a lot of issues in the past but what's wrong with sexy, healthy, aspirational glamour in marketing?
