I guess we can agree to disagree. I don't think masculine gay men are putting on an "act". It's just who they are. I feel like you’re trying to stereotype all gay men when it makes no sense because there are so many different types of gay men across all cultures. Like yeah there are probably more feminine gay men than masculine gay men but they definitely exist 

 

but honestly this whole discussion is just reminding me how stupid the masc/femme debate even is. The only way I can see your side is from the perspective that no person on this earth is 100% masc or femme. Male or female, gay or straight, bi or pan, trans or cis. And that we all have traits that embody both dualities. But to say this is a gay only phenomenon is just inaccurate from my experience. Gay men can be just as masculine as straight men without it being an act

Sorry I just don’t get the fascination with masculinity.  Idc if you prefer masc men but I definitely see some gay men have an almost hyper fixation with completely cartoonish notions of “masculine” (that 90% of straight men wouldn’t even fit).  It’s definitely silly.  Like I am more into feminine guys but it would be silly of me to have insane standards on how they perform that.  Like really! It’s one thing in the gay community that I just don’t comprehend.

Agreed. Last year and slightly into this year I was hooking up with a man who was gay (for once!) and everyone was shocked to find out he was gay when I brought him around. He acted "straighter" than some of my straight friends. Zero femininity in him it was so great.

Well first off I know trans women into women and into fem men and into other trans women so that doesnt really apply to trans as a whole.

As far as masc for masc. Ive never really heard trans care about gay men having that ideaplogy cause no shade they are no comptetion? At the end of the day we naturally will attract the "masculine men" because men who are trans attracted fall more on the straight spectrum since they are still physically attracted to women or at least us trans women who look like women lol.

 

Gays can have their masc for masc preference at the end of day gays are into men why wouldnt they want a masculine hunky man lol. What I find issue is this whole "turning out" notion. If a man willfully has sex with a man for pleasure then he was already bicurious or gay  (Im not talking about gay for pay and sw) that womans husband you bragging about was just in the closet you didnt turn him out.

Yep. My ex boyfriend was more butch than any straight guy I ever met. Landscaper, hunted and fished, played soccer. Everyone that met him couldn't believe he was gay. So that argument that masculine gay men don't exist is just flat out wrong in my experience

Contrary to popular belief, most straight men are unhygienic and not good looking  I also don't get the trend. I understand if they are not into fems because I am also not into fem guys. God i remember hooking up with a guy and at the end as i was leaving i saw picture frames of him and his family . I was disgusted and actually called him out for it lol he replied with " Don't judge , you don't know anything" . I told him im still judging and that it was a big mistake on my part ( even though it was a hot hookup) . 

 

And i know a close friend of mine whos straight and married. The wife basically gave up on sex entirely. And he didn't have sex with her for almost 2 years.  She doesn't wanna break up because their relationship is great but she does not enjoy sex or has almost no sex drive. Poor man was struggling and can't do anything about it other than his own hand basically.

 

So i don't know. I mean i also know of couples who both have sex with other people with or without each other's consent and they live a happy life. Actually lots of people in long committed relationships do that , far than we even know. So yeah i've always been on the fence. If someone is cheating obviously there's some underlying issues , unless there's kink or consent involved.
