no more talking about stupid flop in here. and no more trolling from a certain fan base. I have a WP / ban stick and I’m not afraid to beat you with it.

From now on only people interested in this (awesome) song’s chart run for INTEREST and not for DRAGS are allowed. i will seriously rain down /tsunami WPs on u if u try to get brave after reading this!

I'm surprised no one is posting today's radio update.

Why would anyone post the radio rolling effect update in the Spotify thread? :rip:

I sense a little shade in the visual charts but maybe I’m just triggered and have PTSD from her side projects :rip:

But we love seeing green! Rise lotus, rise!

No shade intended, I've recently started making them for my threads (e.g. Hold My Hand's Spotify thread) as I think they make up a nice addition :thing:

Cute update today :duca:

this might end up a moderate hit for her if streaming stabilizes and radio continues to take off

I sense she might drop another song though.

Yeah but longer than 2 weeks it has always been bad.

I remember HIAM from Britney dropping a month and a week after the single and it TANKED after a few weeks.

Bey did the same with RTW, it arrived to late and the video was spectacular.

And that was 2011.

We don’t even have the patience for that BS in 2022. Especially from an artist that is so visual like Beyoncé.

Didn't Deja vu's video come a month after. Umbrella by Rihanna was also a month...

I think so but that was 2006/2007

The examples I provided with HIAM and RTW were in 2011, people were already over waiting a long time before the video and that was 11 years ago :skull:

These days more than a week is already too long

My best guess is that she will drop a movie or visual thing and she will drop the music video a few days before for the album to get hype.

There is honestly no logical reason to wait other than something like that.

while it does make sense to lead with visuals for extra hype and attention, i really don't think people will NOT watch the video simply because they waited more than one week...

...like, don't people consume videos for second, third, fourth, fifth singles despite the song being out for months? doesn't it often give a renewed interest in the song or even change people's minds/thoughts about the song if they had them?

even Beyoncé launching Black is King a YEAR later sent the album, which was an original "flop" and wasn't even called by the same name as the film back into the Billboard 200 Top Ten. A good visual can have power for the music even after some time. And it's been one day past a week since the song came out lol.

That is true, however that boost only lasted 1-2 weeks whereas a video released at the height of interest can prolong interest in the project for several weeks/months (depending on the video of course). Timing is key. It's not too late atm, but they shouldnt wait until no one cares about BMS anymore. They realistically have this or next Friday if they plan on releasing a video for BMS

well yes, I for sure am not recommending Beyoncé wait one year for the video, it needs to come out before the album for it to have any true impact on the song's chart success.

but imo, it will have a greater immediate effect IF the song catches on and they release the video at the height of it's come-up, vs. releasing immediately.
