From now on only people interested in this (awesome) song’s chart run for INTEREST and not for DRAGS are allowed. i will seriously rain down /tsunami WPs on u if u try to get brave after reading this!

I felt the need to contact Gaga as well, (to check up on her health, congratulate her on Hold My Hand, and let her know what the fan communities were also up to). I closed my eyes and focused on 'Gaga... Gaga...Gaga'. Before I knew it, I could hear "hElLpPpP mEEeEe NeEeEeDd MeEeEEeE" statically. I made a connection. congratulated her on Hold My Hand. she said thank you and she cant wait for whats to come. Her health is good. She sent me a feeling of calmness when I asked her. (Sometimes they respond vocally and other times physically). I let her know that people were comparing Stupid Love to Beyonces new single. She sent me a cold shudder. Then i heard a faint.. "Bey.. my friend.. mny friend". So she is not happy about the comparisons. I wanted to ask her about the rumored collab but the signal was dying out. I said bye, and that was that.

 

So there you have it ATRL. Your faves do NOT want you fighting. they want you to just enjoy the music

The artists you're naming have no fanbases, I didn't expect them to debut with higher numbers than Beyoncé and you're probably aren't surprised yourself.

You would not expect Avril doing 4M but expect B to do so after TG and EIL? Are you saying B after 25 years are expected to do Billies and Olivia's numbers? Where's the logic? I know she has the hype and all that but you wouldn't expect Madonna to do that number simply because she was an artist from the 80s and it's not realistic to do such numbers. 

 

Edit: this site swear B is irrelevant in 2022 and there is no hype for B7 and yet expected much from her.

Now that Taylor and Puth are both releasing, I wonder how this will hold up. Kate Bush and Morgan Wallen are also gaining on itunes. Drake's and Bad Bunny's hold on AM and Spotify are impressive.

yes i think most hive are content with numbers so far considering Bey's last hit from an album of hers was DrIL. we honestly just want upbeat dance songs that she'll promote

I am sensing otherwise tho... I feel like everyone is just assuming its gonna blow up and do incredible numbers... but no one is saying that the hype could go away and not go further.

mmm not really, if you go on the BMS thread everyone is happy that numbers are stable. i think also because the radio numbers so far are well that's an indication it will be a good sized hit, especially since radio hasn't played her since the 2000's

Whats not clicking on this forum that Bey is a MOTHER of 3(!!) kids and in her 40s and black, yet so many have the urge to come for her, compare her to white single girls who are in their 20s/30s and who havent been in the industry half as long as Bey. 

 

But hey, I guess thats the ultimate compliment.

Most of us were expecting a much lower debut, and like half of the forum is calling it a flop, I don't think anyone is assuming it'll blow up.  Most of the actual Beyonce fans are really happy with the numbers, and performance so far.

To make a hit its more than just first week, and that's what I mean. Nothing else.

Few people being optimistic is not "everyone".
