The point of this rollout seems to be that she is NOT doing the all-at-once drop. The intent seems to be about organic interest (removing profile pictures, announcing via bios that don't notify anyone of their having been updated, simple posts to confirm the single is out, etc.). It does make sense to let the song grow and become naturally desired by listeners before dropping the video to double down on their intereest while engaging all the people who had not yet gotten into it, etc. It hasn't even been a week. Hopefully they're just ahead of the curve and more artists will go back to making proper length songs instead of "songs" that should probably be called interludes. I'll welcome it before though ;) my bet is they'll maximize the 'BEYONCE just DROPPED' hype and momentum and try to make it last till next Friday and probably drop the MV next week Friday so that its a whole new tracking week that benefits from the MV and the most likely iconic viral TikTokkery black magic that comes with anything miss Knowles touches!
