Beyonce is aiming for longevity, not quick lil' frontloaded peaks, my darling!

Releasing a mv has little to no impact anymore, it’s just that less people will care about it the later you release it after the song’s out. Artists usually release the mv with the song to maximize the amount of people who will see it because all eyes are on them during the song release and then hopefully go back to watching the video. We know cause we stan Dua and her songs have major longevity and she’s one of the biggest Western artists on YT rn and she releases all her video’s with the song releases

However this is Beyoncé so maybe people will care about her ‘music video’ return and check it out anyway, but more people (non-stans) would’ve probably checked it out when all the ‘Beyoncé has a new song!’ headlines were out

Cool. Did she have some tracks from Lem making it? Hold Up?

I hope it gives the song a great boost.

I think Hold Up did, yes

I mean Doja Cat’s Vegas is a recent example of how much a good MV can still boost a song. I definitely think the MV will do the same for Beyoncé since she’s known for always delivering a sickening visual.

I feel like the right video can absolutely boost a song in certain cases. (Save Your Tears being a good example. It was when the video came out that the song leaped on Spotify and became a proper hit).

Videos that get people's attention is Beyoncé's turf, so it's understandable why she would wait a bit and let it stay on people's minds for a few more days/weeks. If she dropped the video at the same time as the song, it would've gotten even more attention, true, but then what? In her case, extending hype and building a stable run on streaming and radio is far more important than having a big splash moment.

This way, the song was the talk of the town for this week, and then the video will hopefully be the #1 topic for next week.

Yes I hope you’re right, and I think that’s the strategy they’re exploring

If she performs it this week and releases the mv next week she could even extend the rollout

Honey. SHE DID THIS TIME

Whew she's really committed to doing a throwback. 90s inspired song, a Tuesday release (with a leak and everything), and using the MV to extend the song's life once it shows signs of slowing down (assuming she will release it soon :gaycat6:).

That’s why I believe it’ll debut Top 15 instead of Top 20.

In b4 she makes the video a 90s vintage filter released in 480p. :biblionny:

You like it or not you can't deny that that chorus can easily get stuck in your head.

Also I’d like to repeat that Big Freedia is a legend and every song she touches is one of the biggest bops of its respective year.

I hope she releases some remixes like the girls used to do in the 90s
