Mariah Carey recently got inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame; in her acceptance speech she did not acknowledge any of her original writers.

He’s expecting Mariah to thank Ben Marguiles? That guy has made millions off Mariah from work he didn’t have a hand in because of a shoddy contract she signed with him at 18. He was not written a single hit outside of Mariah, yet Mariah should be thanking him? 

 

It’s giving obsessed hater. Mariah is the centre of every song she’s written (music and lyrics). It’s plan misogynistic to expect her to thank her male collaborators for her award.

Not "her original songwriter"  The original songwriter on her early songs is herself. Some other randoms helped with arrangement, but she wrote the lyrics and is being applauded for that with this induction.

Basically. There are plenty of articles of him bashing Janet and Whitney (before her passing) online, especially during their commercial declines. That’s kind of natural for a gossip columnist, but he’s been at it obsessively for decades. Madonna was definitely one of his biggest targets, but not the only one. His hate for women in pop music is pretty well documented.
