No Marmite came first and it's a fermented yeast extract.

Oh I've never actually heard of it. I'm assuming it's not like Vegemite or is it? Very curious now since I know a lot of people outside Australia find Vegemite disgusting however I love it so if Marmite is similar I'd definitely would try it.

Some of them say it's similar to Vegemite but I guess you have to personally taste to figure out. Personally I prefer Marmite/Vegemite as the sauce for comfort foods that popular in Asia rather than a jam sauce that eat with bread or toast
