It's insane how Britney haters want her to look crazy again just like her father has done during her conservatorship She didn't say anything bad about Kelly anywhere in that post. She's just telling her that she's had her fair amount of bullying and that she wasn't kidding during that time period. She's probably just seen that video for the first time after spending years isolated, it's not like she's been 15 years with that memory and just deciding to clap back now  Not anywhere in that post says that Kelly is a bully or whatever y'all are imagining

Speaking of people I wish Britney trashes for their behaviour back in 2006, I really hope she drags Heidi Klum back and forth. She was like 'Britney can come over for a dinner anytime she wants' in countless interviews and when Britney really came over for a dinner, Heidi went to say to the press she didn't really mean it 

Same with Aguilera, people were pressed Britney came for her because of her recent support but back in the 2008 Christina was doing press tours in Cosmo or Glamour explaining why she 'didn't end up like Britney'. Jesus take the wheel

i absolutely love britney and she's obviously allowed to feel what she feels but she really needs to go back and watch the entire video plus the other clips of kelly constantly defending her and also covering her songs in concert and then redirect her anger to the places where it needs to go

Imagine you went through a horrible part of your life. Imagine you were dealing with mental health issues, the breakup of your marriage/family, constant surveillance by paparazzi, intense and cruel scrutiny by the press and general public alike. Imagine you were called names, ridiculed, and shamed by bloggers, other celebs, and anytime your name was referenced. And then imagine hearing that someone thinks you just did all that for attention, that you weren't suffering, but trying to be funny and to sell records and get promo. This has to be hurtful and Kelly definitely should not have been making it out to seem like this was some master plan for Britney when it was, and led to, a traumatic and terrible time for her. Questioning someone's mental health struggles or belittling what they went through to suggest it was all an act is incredibly offensive.

 

It’s really that simple. 

 

OT: She wasn’t even dragging Kelly, just reminding the world that her trauma was always real and never a joke based off of her comment. 
 

She’s writing a book about her experience, so of course she’s going to have to research some uncomfortable stuff she’s never seen before due to being locked away. Let’s not act like people have never been triggered by experiences that happened to them in their youth. 
 

And as for her mental health, not one of us know if she’s actively getting therapy or not. She very well could be, but it’s not her business to announce to the world and healing doesn’t happen in a few months time, or even a year after all she’s been through. The insults are so unnecessary.

Britney deserves some some grace and compassion, she hasn't had access to the world in so long, imagine all the discoveries she is making, all the rumours told. I'm sure Kelly Clarkson is mature enough to understand that and also give grace. No need to pick sides or drag either, they're both adults.

also, can anything be done about the fat shaming in the third page? Second to last post. Been happening from the same user for a while. There’s 2 very obvious KC trolls in this thread and every other time she’s mentioned anywhere so please keep an eye out. (If this isn’t allowed, I apologize. I’ll edit this post. I’ve reported the comments and I know you’re probably busy, just want to bring it more attention because some of those comments are not right. And neither is the trolling)

That Britney Spears remembers the pain and trauma caused by even ultimately mild comments (such as Kelly's) nearly two decades later speaks to just how long she was silenced, and how the conservatorship effectively locked her in time. 

 

I don't get the surprise in here. I've always been for freeing Britney (what sane individual wouldn't?) but I always knew that, for lack of a better word, her freedom would be "uncomfortable" i.e not "media trained" like we're used to now and very raw. And I wouldn't have it any other way, honestly. 

 

So yes. This comment is from like, forever ago, kinda harmless (although depends on perception) and it stung Britney back then but she never had the true freedom to address it. She does now, and the same applies to a long list of grievances she may harbour, many of which will look so petty to us now, but it is essential she works through this and no, it won't be pretty. 

 

I can't speak to the horrors of a conservatorship, but I can somewhat speak to being stuck in time, perpetually hurting over even "minor" things. A chorus of "move on!!" does not help. Therapy can, and I do hope she gets some good licensed professionals to help, but really the crux of the matter is individuals not understanding that Britneys lost years, if you will, WILL come back screaming to her the more she reflects, the more she reads the... Many things written about her online, and anyone who championed her freedom should understand this is natural.

Also… still not sure this is about KC, but if it is, she’s doing the same thing she did with Xtina. Christina writing a nice letter and saying she wishes her the best, but Britney completely turning it into something that is not because she gets triggered over a clip that was not meant to be malicious. I get she has been through a lot, but X and KC are not responsible for it and they had kind words instead. Hopefully she focuses on healthy things and on people who actually put her through those bad things.
 

Glad most people seem to be defending Kelly though…because yeah, if it is in fact about her, it’s a stretch. Just my 2 cents.

as a Britney stan I LOVE Kelly and she is one of us. She’s one of the biggest Britney stans and I honestly also hoped Britney was in control of her narrative in 2007. Sadly she was not and all Britney is saying is she wasn’t kidding.

She's never "weaponized" her fans into bullying anyone. In fact most of the Britney stans over at BreatheHeavy are confused about why Britney's shading Kelly in the first place. Don't confuse Britney with Nicki Minaj.

Why are you lying she said nothing negative about Britney since 2004, and actually supported her during her troubled times.
