Monthly listeners is a pretty worthless statistic, as it's easily hijacked by artists that are positioned well on editorial playlists (so basically either the nostalgia artists who were getting hits when Spotify was first getting big and have lingered at the bottom or those whose labels are paving their way to success with dollar bills). An artist like Camila, who isn't scraping 6 million a day should not be over acts like Billie who regularly clear 12-13M but aren't playlisted nearly as well.

And Dua shouldn't have that 13 million listener gap when Taylor literally has done more than double her streams every single day all year.

I’m surprised all the swifties are in here criticizing the state when it undeniably shows Taylor’s success and widespread appeal.  We all know the stat favors artists with a couple popular songs and achieve wide reach.  The fact that she is 2nd without such song is even more impressive.
