Janet has sold more albums, has more number one hits, is more acclaimed etc. Gaga has sold more singles though and does have an Oscar. OT: Janet pioneered a whole new music sound, has both directly and indirectly shaped what pop music looks and sounds like today, is literally responsible for the existence of the platform that helped bolster Gaga's popularity (YouTube), and there's nothing that Gaga, or her peers, have done that have touched the influence and impact Janet has had on pop music. Don’t even entertain #that we know Janet is solid.

She is simply a once popular singer whom society doesn’t care about today. Lady Gaga has surpass anything pertaining to Janet. Right. Which is why her documentary brought in 15.7M people. Know your place.

That’s MASSIVE in this day and age for cable tv. A dying format no one uses anymore yet it did way better than the scammys and other awards

The posts in here are hilarious but it’s actually (again) passion coming from Britney as she was like is like a direct copy of her. Wasn’t Janet a female Michael so how do we know which it influenced what
1989 Posted June 7, 2022 Posted June 7, 2022 Neither are as influential as their stans think they are.

Janet released a monumental and impactful album that year that still resonates today. I wonder if said album that happens to be your username can say the same..? https://www.mtv.com/news/1988032/taylor-swift-janet-jackson-1989-rhythm-nation-1814/ Quote We have yet to see what impact Taylor's record will have on the music world -- it's only been out around for a week -- but, 25 years later, it's not hard to see how Jackson has changed and affected pop as a genre. From Beyoncé (see her Halloween costume above) to Britney Spears to Robyn to Sleigh Bells, the influence of Jackson's game-changer of a record is still rippling through the radio waves (or SoundCloud waves) today. Dare we say Swift could even have been influenced by Miss Jackson's decision to boldly break away from the pop mainstream? I mean, she does have a song called "Black Cat." You do the math.
yeezytaughtme Posted June 14, 2022 Posted June 14, 2022 Janet for sure. One of the greatest dancers and performers of all time, as well as a great singer and vocalist, inspired many singers today
