If she’s really on a 5 album contract then Atlantic clearly thought she would be their major female popstar just like how Dua is for Warner. It backfired for them completely

No I think that’s pretty standard. I’ve never heard of, like, one/two album contracts from major labels. It’s always like 5-7. If anything that’s one way how artists end up in limbo and can’t release anything.

Well this girl is done. She needs to do what raye and 070 Shake are doing. Quit following the 80s synth pop stuff bc it’s starting to fade out. And it will be done by mid 2020s just like the electro pop of the 2010s came and went. She’s really doing nothing different than anyone else with the music she’s put out recently.

Ava was under Artist Partner Group, her music was distributed by Atlantic. This record label ended their joint venture with Atlantic in November 2020 and all artists signed under the original agreement were fully brought into Atlantic.
Charlie Puth was also under Artist Partner and he said he parted ways with his old label during pandemic, he released his new album under Atlantic so I think they both were not Atlantic artists until late 2020.

Another artist whose really good pop album release felt like a complete non-event :deadbanana2:

Well sis let's go ahead and run that 5 album contract out, I can handle multiple albums in one year:katie2:Deluxe D&D, gay bar tour, followed by AM3

I’ve had it on repeat almost every day since it came out… this could have been a phenomenal era but Aver just don’t have the work ethic I fear.

This was really THE missed chance to be pushed as a major single. I can even imagine this song would have done well in the US. Such a shame

TBH I just can’t see any song on the album that will become a hit in the US other than Last Night On Earth and maybe Dancing’s Done. The album is just too influenced by eurodance. Ghost definitely has potential to be an european hit. The rest of the album is really just meant to reach cult status among gays at best.

you can't say this when a song like unholy was one of the biggest hits of last year considering the lyrical content. saying something is not gonna be accessible because it sounds "gay" is giving that hilary duff "when you say something is gay, do you know what you're saying? knock it off." teas

If girl pushed herself just a bit, she could keep her dream of making music. Getting dropped with no name recognition yet would not be good

They need to push Mycareer's Done, that song sounds like a hit!

she's not getting dropped. she clearly can have a hit with the right material. the motto proved that but she also needs to be pushed and promoted properly.

we won’t get any more singles, right? :rip: also ***** stop changing your hair no one knows what you look like now because of this for ****’s sake

we better get GHOST, GOMH or SLEEPWALKERS those were the instant earworms on the album. are we ever getting that deluxe though lol

why doesnt she just stick to red hair like the album cover so the GP knows it's her? :toofunny2:

THIS! It makes no sense but she's an aquarius she's gonna do whatever tf she wants at the end of the day

+ I agree with the hair comments. We've had blonde + red + even brunette (with highlights) this era, it's a complete mess. How did she not learn from Katy that hair is an important part of an era's success for women in pop (as shallow as that may be)?

i absolutely hate her with highlights. it looks so tacky on her. but i agree. with the oversaturation in the music market if you have a look that stands out then one must stick to it at least until you're established enough

On 2/9/2023 at 7:42 PM, Nefertiti0 said:

Ava said she had red hair during her relationship with her ex(she wrote "Maybe You're The Problem" about him) and when they broke up, she got rid of red and became a brunette.

i think she probably doesn't want to be known by hair color/style as it was with Max Cut

well branding it sure was convenient for her when she was trying to make a name for herself and needed something to say in interviews

On 2/9/2023 at 9:39 PM, Kirby Kirbs said:

GOMH is too gay to truly click with the GP imo, reminds me a bit of Hallucinate by dua situation. That kind of song won’t have a chance at smashing without having a big name DJ attached to it.

it samples kill bill jfc what's with the undertone connotation of something "sounding audibly gay" being a hindrance to popularity and success? GOMH with either an actual KILL BILL or I KNOW WHAT YOU DID LAST SUMMER concept as a music video would do wonders

On 2/10/2023 at 12:46 AM, Delirious said:

she looks the best as brunette imo. she radiates classy pretty rich ethereal vibes when she's brunette.

she's just soooo pretty

her going back and forth with the blonde and orange hair made sense during the heaven and hell era. she ditched the max cut way too soon. it was essentially part of her brand like ponytails are with ariana. she should've kept it with the redhair. she was giving jean grey. these constant hair color changes on top of terrible wigs is just not it. i'm here for her having either brown hair or jet black for her next era for sure though. regardless she is a gorgeous girl period.

ava is actually talented. hopefully she knows what she signed up by having scooter braun as her management. i'm only ok with their not being a deluxe if we get  new er next year but if not i'm gonna flip

she's not done. she literally had a massive hit. this era was just sabotaged from lack of promotion or poor management. her and raye are not the same at all or even in similar situations. raye was in limbo with her label. ava is not. this album was done last year which is why the push back may make this album sound like she's late to chasing a trend. hold out and let's see what she brings her next cycle

well with charlie his case was different. he kept reworking the album and dragging out the era out of his own volition. at least he got a few hits out of it.

y'all need to relax. i understand this drought is annoying but these overreactions are not gonna help. we don't know what's going on behind the scenes.

after releasing ghost as a single this following suit would be ideal

paying to see both raye and kali in the same night is money well spent though

Relieved to find out she’s still in the Top Dance/Electronic charts on billboard (songs and album), so she still has a chance. She’s not 100% done, europe still likes her. Just upset she hasn’t announced a tour yet (even though I live in a country with 2% chance of a tour)
