However it’s quite evident no one around her gets nasty and real with her about her career or else we all wouldn’t be stomping our feet in this thread, as we have been for what’s fixing to be a year now. It’s just abundantly clear both her label and management are content with allowing her to tip-toe around greatness instead of standing in it. The amount of potential she has is consistently insulted by the unequivocal averageness in everything she does. All she needs to do is WANT stardom, and that’s something she needs to accept comes with the territory in her chosen career path. You don’t go into the Hollywood music industry wanting one half of the package deal. “I don’t like the fame.” Ok and? The fact of the matter is that her dedicated fans are tired of her lack of ambition when she has more potential than dozens of her peers in music. It’s an ongoing 5 year frustration that shows no signs of ending.

I'm still confused on how MYTP didn't smash... It was set up to be a summer anthem and lead into the album in the fall. Plus she was getting airplay for all her singles from Heaven and Hell leading into it. Her team really dropped the ball on that one.

I think this is all it really comes down to. People aren't invested in her story/who she is as an artist so the music isn't going to connect. She's fallen into the same box as Zara, Anne-Marie, Dove Cameron, etc.
