Buffy Posted December 12, 2022 Posted December 12, 2022 (edited) You know who deserves an honorable mention? The actress who played Kendra. That girl has NOT aged in 20 years. She literally looked younger when she was in Pretty Little Liars. She could’ve had a spin off of her own in the Buffy verse. Edited December 12, 2022 by Buffy
sunbathinganimal Posted December 12, 2022 Posted December 12, 2022 omg Faith's new watcher is evil the gasp I let out

I always wish Joss utilized her more in the series considering she is Buffy’s successor Slayer?

Mr. Pointy became an iconic set prop though lol
rcksluke Posted December 17, 2022 Posted December 17, 2022 Just finished season 2. Angelus is so mean. Started season 3. Loved the season premiere.
sunbathinganimal Posted December 18, 2022 Posted December 18, 2022 Just watched The Zeppo and didn't like it at all but I looked it up and apparently it's a fan favourite?
fridayteenage Posted December 18, 2022 Posted December 18, 2022 if you appreciate that it's a rare instance where xander gets to be a hero. but i can understand being an OXH. it's one of two episodes where xander has at least 30% of the total lines (along with S5's the replacement).
rcksluke Posted December 18, 2022 Posted December 18, 2022 Really liking Season 3. Really liked Faith.
sunbathinganimal Posted December 20, 2022 Posted December 20, 2022 just watched the episode where Faith teams up with the mayor and idk I don't fully buy it. though the mayor is def my favourite villain so far

I wouldn't go as far as OXH yet but he's def my least fav out of the main cast
SinnerCity Posted December 21, 2022 Posted December 21, 2022 I absolutely adore Faith, it's such a shame she didn't become a regular in Angel, she honestly was perfect for that show
fridayteenage Posted December 21, 2022 Posted December 21, 2022 Well theres the angel and faith comic book series ig
sunbathinganimal Posted December 21, 2022 Posted December 21, 2022 just watched the one where Willow's doppleganger comes back were they hinting that Willow's gay
Kevin2803 Posted December 22, 2022 Posted December 22, 2022 I just finished my Buffy rewatch and realized that i didn't even like season 6 as much as i always thought. It's my second least favorite season. It has so many filler episodes and Andrew & Co. are boring villains. Only the Willow storyline in the end, as well as some standalone episodes, are really great. However, Season 7 is one of my favorites. It felt like going back to the beginning, but still fresh. And i think Xander was mostly decent in this season and actually acted like a grown-up for once. Except for the scene where they all gang up on Buffy. Still makes my blood boil, even 19 years later.

And that scene will never not piss me off, especially one character.
Gorjesspazze9 Posted December 24, 2022 Posted December 24, 2022 Season 7 is one of my least favorite seasons. It felt anti-climactic and the First was super Underwhelming. The potentials Buffy Militaristic Mindset😒and that one episode she get kicked out of her own house😂 it just felt like most of the cast was ready for it to be over half the time. The acting performances were still great and it did have some of Great set pieces and CGI for the time.

I think S6 was def one of my fav back then but I agree, it has mostly filler episodes and felt like the season was more character driven than actual big bad and character developing mix that occured in the past seasons, the musical episode + Tabula Rasa was still some of my fav back to back episodes S7 was always wrongfully trashed I guess bc things kinda moved very fast at one point while storylines like Spike's trigger song storyline was kinda annoying... but the potentials and Buffy having to actually be a leader even when it kills her... was intersting. I also feel the whole Turok Han episodes were so thrilling and I find it great how they set the tone from the first minute of the season
SinnerCity Posted December 29, 2022 Posted December 29, 2022 Season 6 has great episodes, But overall it's understandable that it was somehow weird, after all, the big bad was life as Joss Whedon said, dealing with the aftermath of Willow's spell and stuff. I appreciate it for what it is now. Bargaining Part 1 and 2, Normal Again, Once More With Feeling and the episodes leading to Dark Willow's arc are amongst the best Buffy episodes ever. Season 6 it's much much better than Season 4 though

Season 6 it's much much better than Season 4 though S4 was, is and will always be the worst season for me... first of all I always hated Riley and his God complex... and even though I do enjoy some episodes and I grew to like the season more, it's still the one I have the most trouble watching. My holy trinity remains S2, S5 and S3. then it goes S6, S7, S1, S4.

Primeval and Restless are amazing but the season was an overall mess. I feel they had a great idea with The Initiative but they just couldn’t execute it well. IMO it would’ve been better if The Initiative had come to Sunnydale instead of existing already, I don’t know, I feel that it all become very messy. it just didn’t make sense.
