Wait, why would you go and read about the other seasons of the show and not expect to see spoilers? :deadbanana:

:rip: yeah…. All that foreshadowing building up to Faith, Dawn, and Glory are ruined now :toofunny2: the writers do an amazing job dropping subtle details hinting at future seasons. That was one thing I was always so impressed with. They literally think of these details years in advance.

I wasn't reading about other seasons, I read the continuity section for each episode and they mention all of these spoiler heavy details. There's a few other things I knew long before this watch, such as Dawn being introduced as Buffy's sister out of the blue (I discovered the key part now), Willow being a witch and a lesbian, Spike developing feelings for Buffy, Giles having a dark past etc., so I wasn't expecting these spoilers to be that dramatic but they were.

I do feel bad about Faith, Dawn, and Glory now, but honestly I don't mind just watching things knowing what's going to happen because my otherwise my curiosity drives me insane.

Speaking of spoilers, the Season 2 finale was spoiled to me centuries ago because of this:

I wonder what it would look like if Buffy went up against the arm wrestling champions today. Would she just stand there without flinching or breaking a sweat? Lol

She would struggle a little before decisively winning, especially since Buffy would have had like 25+ years of experience at this point.

Excellent idea, I second this.

It's such a shame that these big companies choose to reboot existing series instead of continuing their story in a different direction. I remember the outrage fans felt when the Charmed reboot was announced back in 2018. A lot of would've liked to see a series based on the main sisters' past lives in the 1920s, and that still sounds like a highly fresh and innovative idea. An anthology series about Slayers would be similarly fun, though I can imagine the budget being quite high for a series like that since it'll also sort of double as a period drama.

Yeah budget could be big but also they could choose to go to whichever country offer a big subsidy and decide to put it there and enjoy actual diversity in settings!

:oh: When you read the wiki page, did it tell you anything super spoilery about Glory? What exactly do you know about her? Lol

I just know that she's an immortal goddess from another world actually known as Glorificus who is looking for the key, which is Dawn Summers (created from Buffy but actually just retconned into the show).

I already knew Glory was a big bad well before I watched the show but I didn't know which season and for some reason I thought she would be like a vampire queen or a witch.

Girl, so you know Buffy wouldn’t be struggling against those human arm wrestlers if she can take on a god  She would probably be able to win by using her pinky finger alone lol

Definitely! There’s no way any human is competing with slayer strength. :eatpopcorn:

@Buffy You said there's build up before we get to find out who Faith is, but they introduce her as a slayer in a very anticlimactic way. Is there something else about Faith that the show is hiding?

This will always be a classic

Don't go searched; just watch it and allow it to be a surprise.

Okay I'm a bit confused about the SAT results in the episode where Spike returns in Season 3. Is 1430 considered like an Ivy League worthy score? Has the SAT system changed since 1998?

Well, Kendra’s introduction to the show and her death was a foreshadow of the next new Slayer. The foreshadowings in Season 3 and onward for other new characters will be a lot more noticeable.

@Buffy Okay so I finally got to the episode where Faith turns against Buffy, and I never saw this coming. I knew Faith was going to betray Buffy and join forces with the Mayor, but I thought she would be tricked/blackmailed into doing so and not do it of her own volition. Also seeing her blame Buffy for the murder and then attack Xander all really built up to this moment incredibly, one of the highlights of this season for me thus far.

Yeah Faith is very misguided…. I love her character though. I wish Eliza Dushku didn’t turn down her own spin off show. Faith would’ve attracted a huge audience in my opinion.

not 1998, but apparently in the mid-90s harvard's average score was 1390.

And then she did Dollhouse. Both flopped. :chick3:

maybe in retrospect she still prefers two two-season shows than doing the same franchise again.

Wow, I guess I should've taken my SAT in the mid-90s, I would've flown to Harvard with ease.

Yes, I love Faith too! I do think the show tried a little too hard to make her villain by showing her absolutely no remorse over her killing that man and then going to the mayor straight up. I wish they had set her up in a way that could give her a redemption arc later on in the show.

I'm watching like 7/8 episodes per day, and with 22 episodes per season, you tend to fly through seasons quickly.

The scene where Angel reveals he double-crossed Faith and was only acting like he had lost his soul?

Make sure to use spoiler tags for anyone else who may not know certain things yet or are just starting the series :giraffe:

I know, right?! Sorry, but Charmed never had those moments... aside from Phoebe choosing Cole over her sisters.
