Well okay. Question then becomes, will she still be attending the same high school and passing Buffy, Willow, and Xander in the hallways? I know the article says Buffy Summers doesn’t exist but that’s kind of weird. I think she should still exist in this alternate reality since everybody else still does?

Maybe Buffy does exist but she never gets expelled from her LA high school as she wouldn’t have burned down the school gym due to her slaying lol.

I think Cordelia would be ditched by her popular peers after her slayer duties start. As a result, she might be drawn to Xander and Willow.

But that’s just what I imagine. Who knows how this Audible series will be as Alyson Hannigan and Nicholas Brendon won’t be a part of it. Perched!

Oh wow that makes total sense! Dang. I’m excited for this new universe

Does it say anywhere it's high school Cordelia?

I know she played a decade younger than her age, but will she play a teen again decades later?

Watching Buffy Season 1 right now, just got finished with my Charmed run and honestly the first seasons for both series are quite similar tonally. Loving everything so far, Buffy feels a lot grittier than Charmed even if that sometimes comes at the cost of having less well-rounded characters.

Excited to see how it goes!

Also, Xander is so cute  I wish they made him slightly less annoying early on though.

Yep. Sarah Michelle Gellar's Emmy winning talent came through! Buckle up! You now have a full season to go through!

The scene where Buffy overhears Giles and Angel talking about the prophecy of her death and her reaction to it gave me chills, that was so well done :clap3:

"Giles, I've sixteen years old. I don't want to die." BOOM! Powerful!

I hate the Buffy wiki so much, I've spoiled so much of the series for myself.

Now I know about the existence of Kendra and Faith as slayers, the true circumstances of Dawn's existence, Joyce's death in Season 5, Cordelia leaving after Season 3, and so much other stuff I wish I wouldn't have known otherwise.

@Buffy @livelikemusic Y'all were right about Season 2 being a shift from season 1. It still retains its sense of humour and cheekiness, but every episode (except Incan Mummy Girl) feels darker and like it holds more weight than the bulk of season 1. The episode where Buffy's old crush tries to trade her to Spike is extremely touching event though when it started I thought it was going to be very filler-y. The Halloween episode was uber one, and the episodes about Giles' past and the one where Kendra is introduced have season finale-levels of drama and intensity, loving everything so far!

The ending of 10 where Kendra introduces herself as the slayer and then the scene cuts to the To Be Continued sign

Lol yeah. My jaw dropped when Kendra revealed her identity. Completely changed the entire prophecy. I was like “HOW?” It only gets better and better. And the fight choreography was a huge upgrade right? I don’t think the choreographers started working on the show until Season 2 and onward. One of the reasons why I watched the show religiously was for the epic fight scenes and Buffy’s witty slayer puns.

The show was so relatable and empowering. Truly one of the best shows of all time.

Could be interesting but can anyone actually imagine Cordelia fighting? Can she even throw a punch and make it look believable? Lol. Her personality is super annoying, so I can actually see her making funny comebacks as she’s slaying. The vampires would probably want to die just to hear her shut up

Have you never watched Angel? She throws down plenty

Spoiler

especially in her final episode.

But also, PERCHED for the audible. How did I miss that news :deadbanana2: especially since I love Charisma, I remember watching that show I Survivied because she was the host.

I love Willow so much, she's probably my favourite character. I just adore how optimistic and upbeat she is. She reminds me of one of my irl besties.

Why not an anthology series with slayers throughout history?

Excellent idea, I second this.

It's such a shame that these big companies choose to reboot existing series instead of continuing their story in a different direction. I remember the outrage fans felt when the Charmed reboot was announced back in 2018. A lot of would've liked to see a series based on the main sisters' past lives in the 1920s, and that still sounds like a highly fresh and innovative idea. An anthology series about Slayers would be similarly fun, though I can imagine the budget being quite high for a series like that since it'll also sort of double as a period drama.

Okay Jenny's death broke me.

They really took what worked during the first season, ran with it and fixed what did not work. Overall, an amazing turn around for a brilliant second season, and it is why fans say stay beyond the first season!

Wait, why would you go and read about the other seasons of the show and not expect to see spoilers? :deadbanana:

I’m not sure how many of you in here have watched Supernatural, but I love the amount of Buffy cameos they did, I didn’t fully appreciate them at the time but whilst I was watching Buffy I was like “OMG they were in Supernatural”

I would have loved to have seen Buffy first as James and Charisma play a married couple in S7 and it would have made me laugh seeing Cordelia and Spike together.

:rip: yeah…. All that foreshadowing building up to Faith, Dawn, and Glory are ruined now :toofunny2: the writers do an amazing job dropping subtle details hinting at future seasons. That was one thing I was always so impressed with. They literally think of these details years in advance.
