Xander's speech to Dawn in Potential is one of his best moments imo

I think he has some good moments but then he acts like a douchebag (his passion for Riley while hating both Angel and Spike just out jealousy for Angel bc he wanted Buffy)

well they are an Oscar Nominee. maybe the per episode fee was too expensive for more.

i'd kinda forgotten how serious tabula rasa was in the half of it where they're not under the spell. obviously the ending part with Goodbye to You, but also the whole first third is pretty heavy.

the main humor being the giles/anya stuff, with a bit for randy/joan.

Michelle Branch's performance in Tabula Rasa is a masterpiece

Since ’90s nostalgia is in full swing, what were some of your favorite outfits from Buffy**?**

For me, it was always about the boots. It’s funny that Kristin is a boot person, but Buffy wore a lot of knee-high boots and Kristin wears ankle boots. That’s sort of how I differentiated them. With Buffy, some of the looks I’m all for, but some of the early outfits, I’m just like, Did you really need to mix leopard and stripes? Is that really a thing? I remember I was so ambitious in the first season. It was when all the Hard Candy nail polish was in, and I had a different nail color every episode. It was great in theory, but when you get to the end of the season and you’re doing pickups and every five seconds trying to change the polish on your nails, you realize that’s really not the best idea to do.

You recently said you had watched seasons one through five of Buffy with your kids, but not the last two. [Those featured controversial story lines, including an attempted rape.] Will you ever show your kids season six of the show?

I love questions I’ve never been asked before. If that’s something that when they’re older they’re asking for, obviously I’m not going to stop them. When we started watching the show, my daughter was 10 and my son was 7, and it’s not appropriate. It’s not a conversation that I wanted to have. If it was any other show, I would say, “That’s not something that you should be watching.” Even recently when I’ve even seen snippets, I watched some of it to make sure that I was remembering things correctly. And then you see that scene with Spike and Buffy. I’m like, There’s no way. To me, it wasn’t what the show was about. I didn’t enjoy filming season six. I didn’t enjoy watching season six [back]. It wasn’t the heart of who she was, to me. I get going through a dark phase or being upset, but she killed her own love and she still didn’t go that dark. It wasn’t for me.

omfg! no! I'm supposed to be on vacation and I was planning on watching. WTF! Whatever platforms gets it next will likely put the sh*tty remasters up. Ugh. Guess I gotta break the DVD boxsets out and watch the 4:3 edits.

Guess Angel will be leaving shortly, too, then! Had I been on vacation THIS week, I would've been golden!

As of 4pm ET, Buffy expires in 12 days and Angel expires in 13 days from Hulu's library.

It will probably be on Disney+ then, right? Atleast both shows are on there in Germany.

It's likely doing to Disney+ here in the States, which means it'll be the sh*tty 16:9 "remaster". We can only hope they do what they did with The Simpsons and offer original ratio, or bring on the European 16:9 edits.

There is a God! I will check later on to see if both are still expiring!

Yikes. Season 6 is one of the realistic seasons of the entire series. Probably the most relatable one as an adult (living pay check to pay check and being in a toxic relationship). Rape is part of the real world. All of the episodes are a metaphor for real life situations, so season 6 is no different than the other seasons. I gained a lot of appreciation for it as I got older. Season 7, however, SUCKS.
