SinnerCity Posted January 9, 2023 Posted January 9, 2023 (edited) Also, can we please talk about how fantastic this ending scene was? Sarah's acting was absolutely brilliant, her realisation at the end, my god, what a plot twist had this been the series finale Sarah Michelle Gellar was robbed plenty of times of an EMMY for this show, it's criminal Edited January 10, 2023 by SinnerCity

My somewhat controversial pick is the S6 Halloween episode - it's not outright BAD, but it's so pointless and boring, the story is extremely redundant and it breaks the tradition of Halloween being the one day a year when the evil forces aren't active for literally no reason Wait, which episode is that again? I’m too lazy to check and I can only remember the one from s2 On 1/5/2023 at 1:17 PM, fridayteenage said: doublemeat palace and bad eggs are the worst I love both of those episodes

It's Dawn-centric and a forgettable bore so no wonder you don't remember it There's also "Fear, Itself" in S4 which is pretty good although not as memorable as the one in S2 12 hours ago, SinnerCity said: Also, can we please talk about how fantastic was this ending scene? sunbathinganimal Posted January 10, 2023 Posted January 10, 2023 (edited) PS1 graphics aside the Mayor was by far my favourite villain so far and S3 was my favourite too Edited January 10, 2023 by sunbathinganimal
Venom Posted January 11, 2023 Posted January 11, 2023 Anybody else watching The Normies react to this on YouTube? I look forward to it every Thursday and they just started season 3 and it’s amazing to see them falling in love with it.
sunbathinganimal Posted January 11, 2023 Posted January 11, 2023 Now that I'm finished S3 is Angel worth watching? If it is what's the right viewing order between that and Buffy

And to ignore her is criminal.

It would've faired better had Paramount Plus been around.

SinnerCity Posted January 11, 2023 Posted January 11, 2023 Ringer would have had a better chance of renewal had it been on a streaming platform, same situation for Dollhouse. The concepts were great but at the time networks were looking for quick hits and so many stories were left untold because of that. Relying 100% on viewers was hard, most of the shows nowadays get renewed based on demand numbers and ratings.

Why didn't The Crazy Ones work out? you had two legends in the leads but it ended up being cancelled

To be fair, I think what Sarah should've done was choosing better films after Buffy ended, the last major movie she was in was Southland Tales and The Grudge, The Air I Breathe and Possession weren't exactly praised by the critics. A thriller and a comedy film would've done wonders for her career but I can see why motherhood took the top spot in her priorities list and I don't blame her for that really. However, I will say, not expanding the Buffyverse back in 2014 was a mistake, perfect time to pitch a new slayer story to Netflix. Edited January 11, 2023 by SinnerCity

Plus, from what I heard, the series cost too much to make and the ratings did not reflect the money being put into it, so CBS cut it.

It's sad that the Buffyverse has basically been dead and the only thing that kept it afloat were those horrendous comics.
