Same, i really hope she does release physical copies for those EPs, but wouldn't be surprised if they don't as it would be cheaper to just sell them on iTunes.

I think there may be some chances to release physical copies as long as the EPs would still be released by Sony, as the artists of Sony AU released various CD singles and EPs. But it would be so much better for Sammi to release new music by Pat’s new label, since he has more industrial resources. Let’s see what’s to come!

Yes, i think she will release those two EPs under Sony and possibly have a physical release cause there's money to be made there, fufill her contract and finally being able to release an album under Pat's new label. This new album will probably come out faster and be heavily promoted so it can convince more artists to join his label.

So happy for her! Sony just did almost nothing in all these years.

Sony just did almost nothing in all these years. I know right. Can't believe it's been almost 10 years since she won "X Factor" and they only allowed her to release 1 original album. She really has the worst luck with record labels. The best years of her career were in 2018 / 2019 when she started to date Pat and he was still involved in Sony, so i strongly believe he will do her right once she leaves Sony.

Slap Posted June 5, 2022 Posted June 5, 2022 I love her music, I really do. But what the hell is this? Two EPs? You can’t just make it an album by packaging up all the droplets that never had a home? It’s been 84 years! I want her to be successful but this ain’t it. Albums are still essential to being taken seriously as a long term viable artist and sometimes you just have to push them out. I know it’s not her fault but the Australian music industry and labels are stuck so far in the past it’s insane. I hope she can continues to make music because songs like New Boy and Bounce show she still has so much potential and talent. Looking forward to this new song though!

And I’m still angry at the fact that our favorites "Firestarter", "Soldier", "Up" & "Sweet Talker" were not included in an album. I mean, seriously? They have been certified so they are hits. I don’t know what Sony AU was waiting for despite of wasting the right time to release Sammi’s first original album. Anyway, Sammi deserves so much better!

The worst part is that i remember Samantha saying in an interview a long time ago that she didn't want to release any EP cause she prefered an entire body of work with an album. I know she had a lawsuit between 2013 and 2015 which slowed down the release of her debut album but they have not excuse after that. Glad so many big artists are leaving their label.

CalvinZeng Posted June 16, 2022 Posted June 16, 2022 So "Dance Again" is released under Midnight Records (Pat’s new label I think). In my perspective, the new single sounds so refreshing and fully showcases her amazing vocal. I also love the message delivered. Love it!

I was sure she was still signed under Sony because i thought she may still have a contract to fufill but i guess, once Denis and Pat left, they probably changed Sam's terms of contract, got her free and took her with them. I hope they do a better job than Sony. The fact that we're getting 2 EPs is already very promising.

That awful label never handled her properly or fairly, essentially killed all of her post-X Factor hype, and delayed her album for three years only to allow it to flop. Literally the only good decision of that era was promoting "Always" with Home and Away, and that was reliant on Sammi's acting to land the role anyway. The new single is a nice reintroduction, I enjoyed it more than a lot of the droplets after In The Morning tbh. Also I know Spotify credits aren't always 100% accurate, but is it a self-penned masterpiece? We stan that for Sammi if so, finally getting to share her 100% unique voice. Lovely vocals as usual too.

This, she's finally free and the first thing she does is to release a self-penned song with a meaningful message. A true artist. Sony would have forced her to release a new single in 2024 and forced her to follow the current trend to try to get a hit. Good riddance Sony, you won't be missed.

First I thought it might sound like a Eurovision Song Contest Song. but I definitely enjoyed it. Will listen to it s few more times to get into that vibe. Same, i also enjoy the song, expected something different based on the title, but at the same time, without Sony, i didn't expect her to keep that pop dance sound. Still enjoyable. This song will probably be apart of an EP that will sound like her last two songs "Back 2 Back" and "Beautiful And Golden" and the other EP will hopefully be more dance like "New Boy".
