Maybe they re-recorded some instrumentals, but based on the previews they mostly went over the original tapes, cleaned up everything and made some tracks louder (especially backing vocals) I think “remastered” is the right term for this release. I wouldn’t call it a “remix” or a “re-imagining” since it’s still the same album and most casual listeners can’t tell the difference, especially Spotify users. I’ve just always seen remasters as better sounding versions of the originals, whereas with Let Go, you can tell they’ve actually re-recorded the instrumentals, especially the drums. Mobile and Anything But Ordinary made me the most emotional as those songs always bring back such good memories from childhood and hearing them with new and improved instrumentals is just amazing.
