Avril Lavigne - 'Let Go (20th Anniversary Deluxe)'

Are they classed as remastered? Because they do have different drums etc now. It’s like the music is re-recorded but the vocals are remastered.

Maybe they re-recorded some instrumentals, but based on the previews they mostly went over the original tapes, cleaned up everything and made some tracks louder (especially backing vocals)

I think “remastered” is the right term for this release. I wouldn’t call it a “remix” or a “re-imagining” since it’s still the same album and most casual listeners can’t tell the difference, especially Spotify users.

Plus remasters don’t have to be 100% like the originals, look at this:

This is exactly how I feel. I still feel emotional hearing the remastered versions. :wanda:

I'm super emotional... all of these hidden vocals, new layers with instruments! Amazing!

I'm having such an amazing experience rediscovering this album.

That's why I'll be absent from my usual Avril-related pages cause I know fans will be talking **** and I don't want complainers to ruin this experience.

Yeah, I suppose that’s true. I’ve just always seen remasters as better sounding versions of the originals, whereas with Let Go, you can tell they’ve actually re-recorded the instrumentals, especially the drums. I can’t wait to hear the full thing at midnight, I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve played the iTunes previews. :gaycat6:

They are definitely all different. I’ve been comparing the originals with the remasters through headphones and all of the remasters are so much better. Complicated now sounds like it could have been released this year. :wanda:

I know what you mean now that I m listening with headphones. I’m with You sounds fuller, Naked sounds more haunting, Anything but Ordinary sounds really extraordinary, and My World hits heavier. Nobody’s Fool sounds amazing too!

Why is my favorite right now, I just love the revamped production. I wish she can release this to radio, I feel like it will do well.

I can’t wait to hear the full thing. I’ve just been playing the previews on iTunes. Mobile and Anything But Ordinary made me the most emotional as those songs always bring back such good memories from childhood and hearing them with new and improved instrumentals is just amazing. I’m only 4 hours away from being able to listen to it all in full.

She’s saving them for Let Go (25th Anniversary Edition) or Let Go (30th Anniversary Edition)

I would say smart kween but she gave us her worst song (Make Up) on this edition, so I'll stay silent.

I think it's kinda weird that we didn't really even know what we were getting and BAM, we got it.

Does anyone know if there are going to be any physical disc sales as opposed to vinyl releases yet?

No news on that. You can’t even preorder the vinyl from all major retailers yet.

All Because of You (Avril’s Version) [From The Vault] and Won’t Let You Go (Avril’s Version) [From The Vault] better come through

96-D29-C97-0-D71-44-D3-B197-B7-A91-DBE52

but RCA will handle that release so my expectations are on the floor
