The sentence went against the family ministry's arguments, ruling in favor of a same-sex couple in Zagreb who wanted to be listed in a registry of potential adoptive parents. We still have a long way to go in the community and legally though, marriage was defined as being only between a man and a woman in the constitution years ago with a referrendum, it will take time to change that again.
