Same-sex couples in Croatia starting on Thursday have the right to adopt children, the country's high administrative court ruled. The sentence went against the family ministry's arguments, ruling in favor of a same-sex couple in Zagreb who wanted to be listed in a registry of potential adoptive parents.

This is a nice step forward and it is nice to see it completely settled after last year. We still have a long way to go in the community and legally though, marriage was defined as being only between a man and a woman in the constitution years ago with a referrendum, it will take time to change that again.

Why are governments still gate keeping adoption?  Actual parents are lit more dangerous, irresponsible and broke than the people filing up for adoption
