Letemtalk Posted May 23, 2022 Posted May 23, 2022 (edited) Justin Hawkins does a pretty good analysis of Harry Styles and his reductive lead single here: I thought he was very generous with some of the things he said. The actual musical analysis starts at around 2:40 and the part about Harry's red catsuit starting at 7:02 was good fun too. But overall he was quite kind to Harry. Of course, Harry isn't the first to use "Take On Me" as inspiration for his lead single, but we know what happened to an earlier "Take On Me" inspired song when the Grammy nominations were announced. Perhaps "As It Was" will succeed where the other one didn't. Edited May 23, 2022 by Letemtalk
loveisdead9582 Posted May 23, 2022 Posted May 23, 2022 I fully came in here to reference Madonna dragging Gaga, but this isn’t really much of a drag. Harry’s vocals are different and his whole stage persona and presence is different. I do feel like Harry is still growing into his own person/artist especially since his material is different from the one direction material where he was forced to be a cookie cutter persona, but he’ll get there.

Now WHO the flying **** that is in your avatar, THAT is the question we need an answer to. Because I don't know.

Blade Runner Posted May 25, 2022 Posted May 25, 2022 ZZZzzz. Just another Madonna situation. Pathetic old people.
FreeXone Posted May 25, 2022 Posted May 25, 2022 "He looks like me but doesn't move or sound like me" That isn't a drag.

I would like to think you were equally as vocal about Elton attacking Madonna on various occasions, but something tells me otherwise. OT. The Rolling Stones are fantastic and Mick's way above all this nonsense.
#Beautiful Posted May 25, 2022 Posted May 25, 2022 I've been saying this since his debut album dropped. His whole brand and image are like second hand Mick Jagger but without the swagger
