I have to agree. Kim K tried to replicate & recreate an iconic moment but it felt reductive.

He's right. Be original.

I can't believe she had the nerve to wear this to the costume exhibition at the MET. Literally the opposite of what they are trying to do. They really should ban her for life for this stunt. :giraffe:

Kim ALWAYS wins. Every MET Gala ends up being about her, lmfaooo.

Can’t pass the Bar Exam so.  Life isn’t easy outside of playing dress up.

Bob Mackie made some points here. It was weird that she wore that specific dress. Another designer could have re-created that dress for her in her size as an homage to the original dress.

Kim K wearing that dress was tacky to begin with. She deserves the criticism that gets thrown her way. :doc:

I mean, i've done a bit on research on this and yes, it's quite shocking that she got to wear/sweat/stain/walk on that dress when it barely should be exposed for the world to see in the first place.

But whatever, i'm sure the world will survive this.

Well its the owners of the dress decision to make

I agree, even if it's a bit snobbish

Exactly what I was thinking. That dress is so iconic, taking it out of its preservation wasn't the best idea.

I think the biggest crime was the fact that it had nothing to do with the gilded era

???? if someone ripped up the mona lisa no one would say "its just a piece of canvas, get over it"

art is art. and this dress is a historical piece of art that was worn to an assassinated president's birthday. it's not a costume.
