i don’t have to assume anything, the way the girls talk about christianity and judaism is fundamentally different from how they critique islam. all three religions and many more are oppressive and rife with double standards but only one gets called barbaric.

idk about you but banning abortion, homophobia, racism, transphobia and pushing for child marriage laws (things pushed or promoted by self proclaimed christians) are just as vile as islam’s issues….they’re practically the same religion except one got the chance to “progress” while the other didn’t, and there’s an even bigger issue with that whole progress convo.

Just because he didn't want to wear the shirt doesn't make him homophobic.

Yall do the absolute most

Wow, this is shocking.

Religious people are usually very tolerant of gay people, so I certainly wouldn't have expected this, who knew?

people love to say homophobia is over exaggerated and that the lgbtq+ community doesn’t face discrimination like other minority groups and then stuff like this happens lol. this man is literally getting praised on twitter and no it has nothing to do with his religion. religion is always used as a scape goat to be a terrible human being, and that’s in ALL RELIGIONS.

He didn't wanna wear the shirt because he doesn't wanna show support to the LGBTQ+ community. He has worn shirts from alcohol brands before, so his religion excuse doesn't work at all. But yes i'm sure he's not homophobic. :rip:

You self loathing f words really have to defend this loser.

Always hilarious when religious people join secular events and then claim victimhood for their chosen beliefs.

This very same type of muslim is 100% engaging in haram behavior otherwise but a rainbow is where allah is drawing the line. :ducky:

Bet the women team has no issues like this.

Because religions are trash but Islam is even trashier. Family honor killings? Gay men beaheded? Gay men thrown from a building? OF COURSE IT’S BARBARIC. Stop trying to defend them you look ridiculous

Not the people in this thread being more worried about poor little Islam, the world's second biggest religion, than this player's disgusting homophobic action. :hoetenks:

OT: Trash! Hope he does get sanctioned :clap3:

The root of this "disgusting homophobic action" os always the same though: Religion. (any of them)

The root of all evil.

Definitely. I think you misunderstood what I was saying, I was refering to users being upset that the OP pointed out that the player's Muslim in the title when that IS relevant. 99% of the people defending and praising him online are Muslims and it's just appalling seeing people on a LGBT forum wanting us to pretend that his religion has nothing to do with what he did  :deadbanana4: I just don't get why some people perform the weirdest mental gymnastics trying to stop us from calling it for what it is. Religion is trash.

Oop, sorry then, I misunderstood :hug:The girlies are too afraid to say anything nowadays.

Obviously his religion doesn't accept LGBT. As long as he's not doing or saying homophobic, he should be allowed to be.

He is following his religion's rules.

Posted

...and? He's just adhering to his religious beliefs. He's not hurting anyone, so leave him alone.

Yall come in here and say this for every islam thread, but then ignore the threads dragging christianity. The only one not really dragged is judaism because people then get compared to Hitler.

He's a **** football player anyway. He had no problem promoting alcohol brands which go against his religion. It's blatant homophobia under the guise of religious adherence.
