She started as a contestant in a talent show (X Factor), she knows better than other artists how these talent shows work and how to help the contestants especially the younger. She might not bring the audience but I think she knows what to do.

 

Anyway I've watched many seasons of X Factor in my country (and X Factor US too). Being a good singer or a successful artist =/= being a good judge.

Same about the Voice, I guess.
