I swear Serbian fans live in an alternate reality where they think Samo Mi Se Espava is some sort of avant-garde magnum opus and that Luke Black is the new coming of Jesus Christ in the style of Bjork. 

 

It's easily the cringiest Eurovision song I've ever heard, especially considering he's actually selling it as something alternative and super serious when it actually sounds like a joke entry and his performing style is giving 12th grade graduation show.

It is so bad. Studio version is marginally better but whenever he came on in the pre-party streams I just turned it off for 5 minutes and I envision that it will be the same during SF1. Manifesting an NQ so the GP doesn't have to see that during the final.

AVROTROS should've never pretended like they actually pick the song from open submissions because that was never the case lol. Jeangu was encouraged by the selection committee to submit a song, S10 met with the committee before she submitted her songs, and Mia & Dion are connected through a previous winner. AVROTROS needs to go back to actively scouting artists and being more openly involved with the song creation and selection like the 2013-2019 era because this 'open submission' bs they started in 2020 is obviously not working.

 

A national final is just about the last thing we need so don't start with that either.

Every year I tell myself I plan to start listening to the songs once they're released and here we are again... a couple of weeks from the contest and I haven't even heard half of them 

 

also, creating a gofundme so you can go to eurovision on someone else's dime is the trashiest thing I've seen in a long time

Especially when it's actually down to the 3-4 options Sony Music Netherlands has been exclusively presenting them since 2019.

They told the Dutch press that there was a UNANIMOUS decision and in favor for Mia & Dion but now we found out that Jan Smit didn’t agree with it all along.

 

They’re liars and inshallah they’ll get replaced and we’ll have Netherlands main electro girl moment

Yeah, what's happening with the Netherlands is truly bizarre.  I do kinda feel bad for the performers because the country as a whole has given up on them before the contest has even started, but I'm glad these issues with the internal selection are being exposed.
