major artists can still pull 100k... I didn't mean it as shade towards Florence, I think it's a good number for this stage in her career :clap3: and I love the album as well

you literally called her a "flop artist" which she is not

Chart performance doesn't really equal flop/success. She is a touring artist, has been booking all the 20k arenas in UK, Europe and Oceania for the past 7 years, for a reason.

Her labels never invested in proper streaming promo so the numbers here are not surprising at all.

the way even getting a 100m+ opening on Spotify + a dominant album bomb on AM  translates to "only" getting 325k these days...billboard needs to adjust their formula for streaming otherwise it's going to be virtually impossible for new artists to get anywhere near 100k :rip:

Florence is a 35 year old woman who leads an indie band whose last hit was over a decade ago. Did you expect her to sell 200k? Her 86 metacritic score and her possible Grammy nomination remain above tacky streaming numbers from Gen Z.

With the way his streams are dropping, I dont think Kendrick is doing 300k.

ot: i hope sour stays in the top 10

Perhaps BB should change/update the formula, but what's the criteria for the current formula? Can't remember why equivalent units are calculated that way.

I am betting Kendrick ends up close to what J Cole did last year around 280k

Is (are) there yet another album bomb(s) the following week? Flooding the Hot 100 weekly with songs that don't & won't last is really getting ridiculous.

I mean it's not that bad if it's helping ancient songs to go recurrent, the Hot 100 really needed a revamp tbh.

TOP 20: KENDRICK LEADS THE WAY

Three Kendrick Lamar albums land on our midweek chart, with the newly released Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers (TDE/Aftermath/Interscope) on top. As its U.S. on-demand audio streams appear to be on track for 350m plays, Lamar’s first album in five years will break the year-to-date record for largest opening. Globally, at Spotify Mr. Morale is on pace for 550-600m streams. good kid, m.A.A.d city and Damn. are also likely to finish the week in the Top 20, each with 22-23k in activity.

Big Loud/Mercury’s Morgan Wallen and River House/Columbia Nashville’s Luke Combs may likewise see multiple albums in the Top 20 this week. Republic’s Florence + the Machine and Nonesuch’s The Black Keys, meanwhile, seem headed for Top 10 debuts.

The physical release of TOMORROW X TOGETHER’s minisode 2: Thursday’s Child sends the previously digital-only release back into the Top 5.

Was hoping Florence would rank higher than #7, but I'll take it. The Black Keys :clap3:

Impressive second week for Bad Bunny too.

Tomorrow X Together's sales are great
