Into The Void Posted May 14, 2022 Posted May 14, 2022 i guess the closest are Dua and Doja but honestly why are threads about numbers always made by one fandom

BnPac Posted May 14, 2022 Posted May 14, 2022 You guys care so much about numbers. It is 95% of what you talk about. So let me give you an answer that'll please you : no one, she is a beast, consistency unmatched etc. So please, do act less insecure, pretty please.

Obviously when you consider she's releasing music every couple of months and already has a 10 album lead on everyone else she's gonna have the biggest discography streams, but the new music just ain't selling.
GoodGuyGoneGhetto Posted May 14, 2022 Posted May 14, 2022 (edited) Let’s wait until Rihanna releases. She’s the only current MPG whose catalogue is streamed just as heavily as Swift’s, on average. The only difference is that Fenty hasn’t released an album since 2016 (to help boost her numbers) and has released only four singles between 2017-2020. It’s incredible that she’s still above so many current artists despite the former. Notwithstanding, Adele’s current era may have stalled (for obvious reasons) but the album had a massive start and there’s no doubt she’ll dominate the IFPI list bar BTS. I’m not sure she’s being ignored here; Beyoncé too. That said, only male acts have been releasing, as a whole, this year thus far. Bad Bunny and Kendrick Lamar are 2022’s heavyweights as of now. gustavothehuman Posted May 14, 2022 Posted May 14, 2022 No one, literally no one. The re-recordings were supposed to make her a little less untouchable since no artist have actually succeeded in this endeavor but she just went ahead and made everyone get down and bow

As much as you want to repeat a lie it is not going to become true. Lover and Folklore are ahead and seeing currents numbers they are going to remain. But well at least 30 has outsold evermore, although if you compare their respective 4th albums…how much would Adele sell in her 9th album?
Protocol Posted May 14, 2022 Posted May 14, 2022 She is in the megastar category, her "fight" now isn't on the charts, it's future legacy and whether or not she will be remembered as a legend. So in that sense she's in the same category as Beyonce, Gaga, Rihanna from her generation.
Ditayoncé Posted May 14, 2022 Posted May 14, 2022 Taylor Swift is indeed the only female superstar in the industry right now. I don’t see any competition.

Taylor Swift has proved herself several times to be an unmatched songwriter/singer and a great artist overall. Skin color has nothing to do with talent.

That's just... not true. Even when you exclude her recent studio albums, Taylor's old albums have way better recurrents than Rihanna's With the release of the re-recordings it's now harder to compare on an album-to-album basis for their old records, but even before then Taylor was ahead on both Spotify and Apple Music
brainmaniac Posted May 15, 2022 Posted May 15, 2022 At this point, Taylor is competing with no one. People thought Adele would be the last one in her way, but now even Adele fell, and Taylor really had the last laugh

Folklore is also above it. I didn’t realize things had gotten that bad for Adele
