Carrie-is-no-1 Posted May 7, 2022 Posted May 7, 2022 We need 20-25 tracks for 1989 TV. Maybe adding another 4 vault tracks ft. Indie/country artists and 2 remixes: bad blood ft. Drake, style ft. styles
Devin Posted May 7, 2022 Posted May 7, 2022 Doubt anyone will surpass Drake or Benito. She is one of the female artists I could see hitting 100M tho.
ariananext Posted May 7, 2022 Posted May 7, 2022 This record is just a competition of who releases a longer album, there's no way an album with 10-15 tracks can make it. Harry is the only one maybe.

If that trend continues, it's becoming more and more likely for artists to break the 100 million mark (or any other previously set record, for that matter). Getting 100 million streams in 24h in 2019 would be 'more impressive' than it is now, for example. I already think she's big enough now to do it, tho This, I fear the current records will be nothing in 5-10 years.
WildHeart Posted May 7, 2022 Posted May 7, 2022 (edited) Folklore did 80M in 2020 so i can see her next album (TS10) doing 100 million with same amount of(or even less) songs. 1989 TV will probably break the record before TS10 tho Edited May 7, 2022 by Artistofthedecade

MusicBiz234 Posted May 7, 2022 Posted May 7, 2022 (edited) 1989 TV will pass 100M Edited May 7, 2022 by MusicBiz234

Arrows Posted May 7, 2022 Posted May 7, 2022 1989 will probably do it, and TS10 is likely to do it again. folklore did 80 million with 16 tracks two years ago, and she’s grown immensely in streaming and popularity since then.
wastedpotential Posted May 7, 2022 Posted May 7, 2022 Are the people in this thread forgetting that she came really close like six months ago, and in the mean time has only gotten more popular? Assuming 1989 TV is the 16 original songs + Sweeter Than Fiction + 6-10 vault tracks, I think it's highly likely that she will. I also think that Blank Space alone will debut over 10M streams given the insane popularity the original is having right now.
xfreshkidxx Posted May 7, 2022 Posted May 7, 2022 (edited) 1989 could or her next album for sure. Folklore did 80.6M. It depends on the material. Edited May 7, 2022 by xfreshkidxx Red did 91M.. so yeah, her next album definitely doing it.
Mr. Duff Posted May 7, 2022 Posted May 7, 2022 Yes she can definitely. Red TV made 90M so it is doable.
UnusualBoy Posted May 7, 2022 Posted May 7, 2022 She might but it will depend on the playlisting and the tracklist length.

Especially when they keep releasing their service in new countries
saintspice Posted May 7, 2022 Posted May 7, 2022 i see 1989 doing it if she doesn’t pre release too many songs. also reputation will debut with 200m so we don’t have to worry either way

If "tHe mUSiC iNDuStRy" can't after releasing 4 projects and countless singles in the last 2 years then

If you can't count a few singles, you should probably go back to school.

Of the "18 singles", only 10 actually got a radio release, and only 5 got released to pop radio, which is by far Taylor's biggest format (The Man, Cardigan, Willow, Message In A Bottle, and The Joker and the Queen). 5 is still probably more than a few, but if you can't count to 5 then you should still go back to school.
Ribs Posted May 7, 2022 Posted May 7, 2022 She came really close with a re-recording, she will obliterate 100M
